Phenominal interview with a couple of powerhouse physicians! This coming from a first year med student who may not know yet the specialty I want to go into, and just learned about Physiatry during my application process, but also being an athlete. Among other things stated, I think one of the best things they both said and modeled was being the example of what it is you're "preaching" and not being that hypocritical physician. Also, that functional assessment bit with Dr. Mix was fire! There was a lot said here that I will definitely use in my career as a doctor, and I feel sets great physicians apart from the "ok" ones.

So is the meaning of the word "innominate" the surface of the SI joint, or the pubic bones themselves?

I have had a work related injury and I just don't understand my condition. I have pain central sacrm when palpated, when my osteopath gently rocks the gluets towards the sacrum it hurts. It hurts on traction. I am sore on waking. It began in Oct waking me 4-5 am and I couldn't stay in bed..once up that pain eases and am stiff and achy which eases on walking. Couldn't sit or stand without constant repositioning. By mid Dec it still woke me but able to tolerate without shifting, sitting more tolerable. January had many relapses waking early and sharp pains on positioning... but general condition an improvement on December... this has been going on so long. I had original injury in July and was on opioids for 10 days, just could not tolerate. Finally resolved in Sept with complete rest,.no symptoms, first day back it aggravated, not acute but constant unresolved ache. A month later it started disturbing sleep and was signed off. Was on leave without pay so a fortnight later did light duties, couldn't stand for 30 mins had to squat, driving sitting at diagonal... now am finding it is up and down, mornings bad, once up mild as work increases gets more achy then mornings worse... is this possibly a sacral stress fracture? Have a spot mid sacrum that is painful on palpation.

@@juanma.arabia settled a bit, It doesn't always drive me out of bed in the mornings now, but as soon as I start regular activity like walking and stretching it flares and starts causing pain in the mornings and low tolerance during the day... I would love to know what it is. There is a small area about the size of my fingertip right next to my spine, very close to centre bit to the left near S1, L5? Its very low, that feels like a bruise.
