Make it Grow is led by Dr. Pamela Richardson at the University of Sheffield's Institute for Sustainable Food and is funded by an UKRI ESRC Impact Accelerator Award.

Make it Grow supports community-based, sustainable food initiatives to build capacity and create video proposals, in order to attract start-up funds. We use participatory approaches that help groups to develop skills for planning their projects, producing their own videos and pitching their ideas to funders. We build the capacity of local organisations and train local facilitators. We aim to support donor organisations to adjust their grant-making processes for greater social inclusion.
