A Muskegon art museum was the vision of Charles Hackley. Upon his death, he left an expendable fund to purchase “pictures of the best kind”. The museum was dedicated on June 21, 1912, and garnered attention from media worldwide. After over 100 years of fulfilling Charles Hackley’s vision, the Muskegon Museum of Art's permanent collection rivals art collections is large metropolitan cities.

Muskegon is dying. It's nothing but weed shops and dollar stores. It destroys everything. The Seaway Festival went thru various stages. Eventually, it went away. They are trying to do the microbrewery thing. That will die soon. Muskegon isn't the right demographic. Bring large companies back.
