I thought if in TOGA LK the thrust levers are to be moved in the TOGA detent and can be disconnected only then
They don’t necessarily have to be moved to the TOGA detent to disconnect but it is standard Airbus practice to match the thrust levers before disconnecting

I don't like all this electronic stuff on aircraft. Lots can go wrong. Bad enough with the electronic stuff in our cars

Very good explanation. Just wanted to note that the component that is mounted on the engine is not called FADEC. It's either EEC (CFM56-5b & LEAP1-A) or ECU (V2500) as far as I remember.

It is an important aspect of the airbus autothrust design philosophy and one worthy of ensuring future viewers understand. The intent of the design is to ensure that pilots take control, when appropriate, "instinctively" and without delay. Not sure why this single comment has triggered someone so badly.

Just to confirm, you "push in" the altitude knob when selecting a lower altitude and "pull" the knob when selecting a higher level.
Not quite. You can push and pull to both lower and higher altitudes. Pulling will select Open Climb (OP CLB) or Open Descent (OP DES) and this can be done at any time. Pushing will select Climb (CLB) or Descent (DES) and can be done only when the aircraft is in NAV mode. Hope this helps

Capacity in Ah alone is meaningless, without mentioning the voltage, number of cells or even the chemisry
You’re right, to assess the entire battery performance you need those other parameters. However, Ampere hours is a fundamental measure of a battery's capacity, indicating how much charge it can store and deliver over time. Without the Ah rating, you cannot accurately gauge how long a battery will last under specific loads.
@@A320Knowledge Okay, so later in the video a voltage of ~25V was mentioned, so that's clear to me now. But do they still use lead acid battery technology?
So as part of pre flight checks on the ground, you monitor battery voltage in "off" (bats disconnected from bus) and, if too low, set to "auto" (connect to bus) to allow for charging and then check again after 20mins for sufficient voltage. But to not just waste your time you have to remember a rule that the batteries will simply not charge even if set to "auto" while low on voltgae, with gear down and no-smoking in auto? Why? When reading rules like this, I wonder if some engineers might have gotten a bit carried away during development 🙂
