Hermes was the world's first purpose-built aircraft carrier and is over 20 years old by 1942. She is functionally equivalent to a CVE or large MAC, and should NOT be used aggressively.

When you are on a patrol mission any tonnage you sink before reaching your assigned patrol area does NOT count for the Mission or Campaign tonnage totals. I would advise to go straight to your assigned area then begin your hunt.

Mission difficulty on the selection screen doesn't seem to make any difference when you are out on the actual mission. Higher difficulty gives higher reward for completion.

23:30 'Engine Specialist' is a different Skill than 'Ship Engineer'. Ship Engineer can scuttle a ship without using explosives, otherwise you have to send someone over with a demolition charge (purchased in port and stored in the forward storage locker).

Torpedoes on U Boat's have a range of 6 to 8 thousand yards. British Torpedoes have a greater range of 11 thousand yards. Thought you should know. French Torpedoes less than 4 thousand yards.

The Mk 46 torpdoe (dropped from helicopters and fired by surface ships) is strictly anti-submarine - it has no anti-surface capability.

It feels good getting some consistent kills! Early in the episode you got a message from Bdu about Siefert, that's why he has an exclamation mark above his head. Click on your Captain then right click on Siefert to give him the message (your crew will gain some experience). Instead of trying to keep morale/discipline high you could go the opposite way and ignore it. Once stress gets to 100% a crew member will break and one of three things will happen: 1) they will panic (a Leader will have to calm them down) 2) they will have a heart attack or 3) they will become a Sea Dog. Sea Dogs will never panic or have heart attacks. When you get to port just kick the panic/heart attackers off the boat and recruit some new guys. Rinse and repeat until you have a full crew of Sea Dogs. In the last episode you mentioned coffee. It's stored in the forward Storage Locker. You can order your Officers to have a drink when their health bar is low. Click on an officer, click on the storage locker, right click on the coffee. Low energy level will reduce their viewing distance, hydrophone range and I think torp loading/maintaining speed. Cheers!
