Great to see Jo Good 40 years ago. She has an excellent weekly Vlog (Middleagedminx) and presents a late night radio show across the whole BBC local radio network on Friday and Saturday nights!

Great characters and actors . Jill adam j henry and david made perfect chess pieces , with paul ross and sid excellent in their places . I saw these shows from 1981 - 1988, in my opinion 1981- 1985 were the best years. 😊

We missed Sharon. It was always left vague why the character was written out.

I remember the actor who plays Adam Chance I remember him as Dr Bywayers in general hospital

Crossroads better than the soaps of today. Totally more realistic in these American/ British modern soaps. It makes me laugh or deppressed!😢

That's a dramatic crash zoom on Mr Sand's face at the end. Very dramatic for what is only his first scene!

He was with Ingrid Pitt in a Vampire film where Countess needs blood of virgins to remain young and beautiful

Great character j. Henry ( viii? ) pollard. Actor michael turner was perfect for the role.

Yes there is scene in the bar in a 1982 episode where he compares Paul to a combo of omar saharif and brian clough

It was pretty much the law to have a dark wooden spice rack hung on the kitchen wall in the 80s, just like the one in Diane's tiny kitchen! I want to know what she kept in all those neatly arranged and out of reach tins ! 3:27

Did anyone notice Adam and Jill watching Meg from a distance; Adam says 'It is the best table'! How would he know! But look closely as Meg is already speaking with Adam yet Adam is still standing next to Jill!

1984 has some cracking stories ahead, one starting with Mr Paul, which puts Crossroads right back on the map.

Carole Sands and Iris Scott just reappear after quite an absence and appear. Good old writers and production team of Crossroads.

There's some very funny dialogue in this episode and the battle of wits between Doris Luke and Iris is brilliant. Goose grease, indeed!!

Iremember this episode well,together with an earlier one where David Hunter was shot by his mad wife Rosemary. Crossroads really was such a fun show.

I'm a London boy. I was brought up as such. To see Jo Good in this is such a thrill. Her subsequent work on BBC radio (and OFAH) lol... Is worthy of credit and recognition. And I'm speaking of culture. Don't even start me on her work with our lovely canine friends...

I loved the early 80s this is like an every day life time capsule.

Where I worked an older woman wouldn't answer the phone when this was on, she called it the holy half hour

Long may we continue to be connected with you. I really do hope you have more to give people like me.. Controversial as I am to say this amongst all loyal fans. But, I really loved the era of Gabriel Drake , the Freeman's family and all that was between 1985 to 1988. I loved it all. Even the Kings Oak titles and theme tune. Although, I always felt Kings Oak would have worked better as a Sunday night spinoff from Crossroads. Just set in the village. It would have worked in the time of where the heart is and Emmerdale when it was showing on a Sunday evening. Think watching "Nolly" we all know that Crossroads didn't fail. It just never stood a chance with the press & the big boys at ITV! Even now though this friend from way back is still bringing people like us together. Thank you to you whoever you are .. How many episodes complete the year ?

They used to say that Crossroads had unbelievable plots and storylines that didn't reflect the ordinary people. I wonder how those same critics from yesterday would eat their words today! when it comes to comparing Crossroads to the soaps of today that still run on tv . Back in the day, Crossroads was unjustly criticised and mocked as the poor relation compared to Corrie & Enders! Erm, "Hello" you only have to see the current reruns of so called "Classic" Enders , Corrie & Emmerdale in order to see just how over the top , far fetched and a shadow of their original format that they've all become! Corrie is nothing like it was, yet keeps it's 1960 theme tune that does not match the dark show it is today. Enders is still stuck in 1985 with a cheap map for opening titles instead of real shots of the Thames and a dated theme tune! In the real world Emmerdale would have been axed years ago, but has been kept as a filler for the timeslot.. Crossroads here , just watching these episodes confirmed everything I have ever thought. Something that we all know. It was the forever staple early evening soap opera that we all relaxed with after dinner. A friend to everyone old and young, you only have to see what came up next after these 1884 episodes.. As it went into 1985 the show was slick modernized and sexy. With all the the new characters that came in next and worked "Side by Side " with the remaining characters I.e. Jill, Adam, Diane and Miranda. That's credible what would happen in a motel / Hotel. The Kings oak village gave us characters. Not planes falling on the village or endless serial killer characters all living in one street, village or family members. Throughout 24 years, every so often a murder, a shooting and a Motel fire! Gee, if Crossroads was over the top back then. Compared to what traumas we are subjected to with today's offering of the so called 'soap's.. Then give me this lower budget friend back any day! Character based with stories that brought you back and looked forward to seeing the next episode. Sets we enjoyed looking at that captured your imagination, people that we cared about and wanted to see more of and what happened to them next. Most of all, 5his show brought stability to our lives. No matter how bad your own day had been whether it was school, work or for older people stuck in in a rainy day like today. We all had Crossroads at 6:35pm to emerse ourselves into for those twenty two minutes or so. How lucky we was go have had this at the time. How lucky we all are today for you the people at the "Crossroads motel "channel - for creating this channel and for putting these wonderful episodes up on here for us all to enjoy. Now we don't have to wait til 6:35pm . We can now watch these over and over at anytime!! So grateful to you, "Thank You!!" Sorry, this was a bit long. Just so passionate about justice for Crossroads.. Love to you all & everyone loving this show alike.. Scott from Essex X

I will always be grateful to 'EastEnders' back then, I wrote a fan letter to June (Brown), little did I know that writing that letter, June would become my best friend, a friendship that lasted 37 years until her passing in 2022, I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful friend, always had such good, sound advice, full of wisdom, she was beautiful inwardly as well as outwardly, no nasty side to her, I was so blessed to have her in my life.

This is so much better than the soaps of today. Normal , relatable, entertaining and not offensive. Thank you for sharing this. Thank you Crossroads motel/ Kings Oak for being you x
