Fully upgraded Puppet string will carry you through almost every trash mob with a one hit, the aegis shield is so op you can beat ng+4 with just blocking and stabbing, the corrosive arm is op if you throw it down during a stagger moment and then parry them inside of it, flame arm will melt all fleshy mobs. There are several one shot comps with the mine arm where you place the mine three times then charge the wrench head with the police baton. And the cannon arm is wonderful if your doing a run and gun kinda playstyle with op consumables. bro you gotta give the arms a chance they are amazing D:

The arms are more interesting than their lvl 1 actions lead on. The puppet string, with the link attack upgrade, puts enemies into a uniquely longer non-fatal stagger to get 1 charged heavy in. The falcon eye is obviously good for ranged enemies, but it also deals high damage against any unit holding a shield. The aegis acts like a free 'fable parry' handle without actually using one for better customization, and the flamberge fries and kinda cheeses most of the mini bosses in the game. I feel instead of being a write off, they're a little overturned and can trivialize a lot of encounters. It gets even crazier after getting the extra arm slot P-Upgrade in NG+.

Puppet string may be the only thing that made me interested in this game. Never played souls or souls like game before. But singling out mobs from a crowd and beating him to death, all the credit goes to puppet string. Arms are actually good

Lies of p is Top 3 souls like easy

This is in my opinion the BEST soulslike that isn’t fromsoftware. The devs knew exactly what made soulslikes so good, and did their own spin on it. I have a few gripes with the game, but overall for a first title from these guys they knocked it out the park. Most soulslikes that aren’t fromsoftware don’t get it, they’re a shallow experience that lack the deeper understandings. Anyways I hope the DLC is good and the sequel improves on their mistakes

One year later it's still rubbish. Completely scripted and linear with no difficulty settings like top AAA games. Don't these devs want to make money ?? The enemies always spawn in the same place which makes replayability about zero. I tell all my social media links not to buy it unless you're a hardcore "souls" player. Peeps don't realise the i-frames are there as mini load screens. Watch how long it takes to pick up loot, it's an eternity. The parry windows are ridiculous and there's no reward for succeeding, just no health lost. So what ?? And the game is too short for the money, should be hundreds of hours.

You're wrong about the arms as they are incredibly useful, but you seem to have already addressed this in other comments. So, I'm just leaving this comment for the algorithm.

my experience with the game is weird, NG was great, NG+ had a bunch of bs moments with ohko and insane damage, NG++ as soon as you unlock tier 7 P Organ power up you become a god i did all NG++ from start to krat station late game in 2-3 hours. Puppet string is OP, Golden Lie and Noblesse Obblige are so much fun and they complement eachother

Elden Ring’s atmosphere and ingenuity doesn’t hold a candle to Lies of P!

I love this game so much, man. I really hope the developers realize they have something special they've created. Lies of P is what video games are about. I was so skeptical about this game. I really thought "Oh, just another Souls copycat" but no. They knew what they were doing and surpassed From Software in a few Quality of Life aspects. I am very excited for the future of these developers. In comparison with From Software's latest(Elden Ring), what Lies of P lacks in comparison of Elden Ring's content, it makes up for in its quality and it's a game that I personally prefer over Elden Ring. To be arms are really fun when you know the openings of the bosses. Placing 3 mines with ex machina when the boss is edge walking makes them loose a quarter of their life just at the start Falcon eyes can be use while dodging so it's free damage while getting away Pandemonium is really good when used while the boss is stagger before doing a critical hit, they keep taking damage even when they are standing up with Iframes, and their weapon will be broken easily. I always broke Laxasias shield mid fight by just trowing acid on the floor right at the start of the fight The other elemental arms are good depending on the weakness of the boss. Sometimes, they do way more damage than a critical hit The only "bad" arm if left arm of steel, it hits hard, but it's only useful at the beginning of the game Great video! You made me want to replay it for the 5th time xd

But sir, DS2 is the best in the trilogy!

aegis turns the game into easy mode in ng+ runs and puppet string is busted with some weapons for burst damage . Anyways , nice review
