The US pre epa factory dual port 046's had a hd14 carb with a .70 main, the epa choked version has a hd16 carb with limiter caps and .68 main.

I’ve had several of these saws, still kinda have one left. It’s a new XS440 hybrid. I did a bit of jet testing on this saw and never really saw any difference maybe a tad more grunt but the saw was built for torque to pull longer bars

What are your three way rates from low med to hi?

Seems like it's the esc try checking the timing.

I added 3 o-rings to each spindle, problem solved.

Hey! How do you find the new ones? I've had these for 2 years and now I'm also getting battery issues. It shows 5% regardless on one, and it works. But sometimes during night it stops after 4h. Gotta charge it 5 min, and then it works for another 4 hours 🤷🏻‍♂️ I NEED these or else I'm constantly being woken by any sound. Light sleeping 😭 A shame these got discontinued as I heard the new ones are not nearly as good since they only us ANC.

I have the same issue on my M-9100 pair. The seals already came out as brand new. And over 1 month of use the seals don't even look like rubber.

That was a nice explanation of the differences man. Appreciate it. I just rebuilt an MS460 and slapped a Hyway dual port muffler on there. The stock muffler cover was a bit rusty and dented so I figured why not. Still have to tune the carb a little. I think I'm a little rich on the H side.
