This song is so sad, yet so comforting at the same time. Its like a bittersweet ending to a story, it makes you feel like you lost everything, but you still have that gut feeling that drives you to keep moving on.

As a man who has ever actually loved two women my whole life the line "those eyes light a gire in my stomach" seems like such a far away distant memory where the angst of being young met the passionate hormones and yearning for something greater (which can be chalked up to the need to breed, if we are just being honest) its just crazy bc that wasnt long ago and here i am knocking on 40 working my mf life away 50-60hrs a week and now all i do is work, eat,sleep, shit, and pay WAY to much for health insurance and taxes and have grown to hate the world i live in it no longer has the luster and opportunity that it did through my naive 19 year old eyes 😢

I was in a really dark place when i listened to this song, and other songs in the shoegaze genre, and now my body physically reacts to this type of music. I get headaches and nausea listening to it now. I use to never not listen to music, and songs like this comforted me when i was so alone. Now im way better, joyful and in gold company, and I cant listen to this song the same way anymore
