My life is not super exciting, but I try to bring something different to show about Thailand.
what's new at the resort.
We have been closed for maintenance. Here is what's been going on. It's taking time and money to fix. But soon we will reopen.

In less than a year, I have family from the USA staying with me for an extended time. For their privacy and ours, we are building a nice size guest house. In the future, it may become staff housing for grounds keeper and maid.

Please chose on forme H6 or jolion pro
@AlyMona-n6f i like the front-end look of the Jolion, but the size of the H6. 2 years 8 months later, I still love the car.
@rossinrayong632 which one you love
@AlyMona-n6f H6
Hello, I think is ok, all is under usability, only think I wander is the seat belt and the aircon issue. The rear break is ok, too big and is to strong on braking it can be dangerous... I am Malaysian, my Haval is coming in Dec 2024. Thank you for sharing.
If Malaysia pricing is like Thailand, you will spend 20% less for the same car.
Great video Ross
Add a strip club. You seem to like those
I BLAME KAMELA HARRIS AND DEMOCRATS FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN 💯👍🇹🇭😂
@@vikingprepper9847 I blame the local government for poor water management. This river can be controlled
Dang Ross, that’s got to be getting old.
It happens almost every year. This is the highest it's been. I just checked the water level. It's still far from the house. After the first flood here, we bought the truck. It was the only way to get out. Now the road is higher. But still under 1 foot of water. In 2 days it will all be gone. I just laugh at it now
Hey Ross, have you heard from JC lately. Mike from LMAO and I have both been trying to get in touch with him with no success. We’re pretty worried about him after the last couple of videos he put out.
@@ChasingDreamsInThailand I have not. Send him an email
@ChasingDreamsInThailand I get used to it. I have my truck to get out. The water never goes over 10" would need to hit 18 before it reaches my house
Pool staying full on the bright side
@@flipforprofits4744 but it's fresh water in a salt water pool. Now I have to add chemicals after the rain.
That little dog, 'resort mascot', is so cute!!
She is a mean mascot. There is also a black cat, he loves people. Likes to be picked up. At night he keeps any rodents or reptiles from wanting to make the resort a home.
Ross, the resort really needs to get rid some of the bungalows and have a swimming pool put in. I don't think I had ever been to a resort in SEA that didn't have a swimming pool for the guests to cool off on those super hot humid days.
@darkbrother8516 did you want to invest in the resort? Pools require more labor and more power. We are short on labor to keep clean. Perhaps when we expand in the future we will add pool.
@@rossinrayong632 Ross, I do not want to invests in yours and yours wife resort. I am just reminding you of what you told us on one of your video in the pass. You told us that you were going to remove three of the bungalow to make room to put in a pool at the resort. Seems like nothing have been done according to your plan for removing a few of the damaged bungalows to make room for the pool. Did you changed your mind about the pool at the resort or just delaying your plan for a pool at the resort?
Bummer....beautiful resort and didn't notice they were my roommates from my visit last winter...😂 How long for complete projection from start to finish? Curious also how long did it take the termites to destroy everything? Yes Panang wasn't very special except the food. Went last winter for a week and rode around the whole island. Heading back to Thailand in 2 months.
@BarefootJeff We are not sure. Seemed the more we looked the more damage we found. We had professionals come out to inspect everything. They created a plan of attack. Within 2 weeks all the bugs were gone. Now we have monthly checkups for 1 year. Traps are set for future invaders. We have learned some new things regarding termites. For 1, there are termites that can fly. The coolest thing Paneng had was the mountain train. Night life was nonexistent. I don't eat street food so I avoided the hawker stands. Next place I am headed to is Laos and Sri Lanka. Want to see all the neighborhood countries. I will try KL next year.
Dang Termites...repairs look good though!
Thank you. These guys are amazing
Hi Ross, I emailed you, It would be great if you have time to reply, I'm not a troll, I am genuinely interested in the business idea, I won't disclose it.
I’m interested in getting some info on the business you mentioned on Charlie’s stream the other day. How do I get in contact with you?
Email me you contact information. Rossabout@yahoo.com

Under braking all the weight shifts to the front tires, putting big brakes on the back with no weight would cause a very easy lock up which is why they are never the same sizes on any car. Can agree on the cruise control increments, but more so the speed limiter only going from 1-10km/h over is outrageous. Give me that in 5km/h increments instead. Find it interesting your interface is on the right side where it belongs in a RHD car, mine in South Africa is on the left which is a massive stretch. I actually quite like the safety belts functionally and their related moans. 😂 Also use Sport mode for steering, it just feels much more 1:1 in response. Strange you don’t have Android Auto, surely that’s just a firmware update away. Did you plug it into the opposite (passenger side) USB port? That’s the only one where my CarPlay works. That being said your interface on both screens is entirely different to mine.
There have been at least 5 firmware updates to the car since I first purchased. So many of the things I complained about are now resolved. It's been over 2 years and I still love driving the car.
@@rossinrayong632 aaah that’s good to know that they keep up to date and actually make changes over time. Can’t say that for most other manufacturers.

Ross, in my humble opinion, your resort really needs a swimming pool like the one at your home compound. If it was my resort, I would get rid of 2 or 3 of those bungalow and maybe sell them or move them to the home compound. Then I would build a swimming pool where the 2 or 3 bungalow units used to be at on the resort's land. I mean, really, what's a resort without a swimming pool for the guests to hang out and cool off at?
That's the plan. Getting rid of back unit once these 3 are done. It has the most land. We are waiting for land owner next to us to finally give in and sell us his land. Then we will expand to larger monthly rentals. Different concept. But use part of land to add 2 more family units.
If not treated you will have a pile of dust. Best wishes.
Ross those termites could of come out Charlie's rice bag 😂
Not sure how they got up there. There were no outside signs of them. Wife thinks they were there from very beginning. I am hoping the entire ceiling does not need a replacement.
Beautiful place, Ross. Good luck with the conversion.
Thanks. I am looking forward to the transformation from a large king room to a family unit.
Cheers. What's your email?

Ross, the guest house turned out fantastic. You might think about investing into maybe a few more guest houses on your property and turn it into a second resort business.
No thank you, I like my home privacy. My dogs would not take to kindly to all these extra people around. We still have 2 more Rai of empty land near my resort. Still not sure what to do on that land. We may build Row house rentals in the future.
@@rossinrayong632 Ross, to be honest, if I was looking for a resort to stay at in Rayong, I would much rather stay on your compound where I would have the river nearby and so many matured trees all around. The pool is a big plus too. If I was in your shoes, I would pay for all the bungalow at the resort location to be transported to your compound location, and make the compound into a real resort, with the main house converted into a common area where guests can go and order food or buy some drinks. I would then convert the resort property into a place for living with all the dogs.
You have deep pockets
Very deep

You need to find better things to live for.
Looking good. I liked the random red pavers in with the grey, very Thai
Me too! I thought it looks better than a single color
Looks good Ross. After the guess house are you done for a while or what's next?
Not sure. I am waiting for the rain season to install the grass in front yard. But no more construction for a while
They are beautiful animals
This place is just 15 minutes from my house.
@@rossinrayong632 Nice, how is the resort going?
Ross, I was for keeping the sala, but now that I see how well the guesthouse turned out, I've changed my mind. It was a really great idea to turn the sala into a guesthouse. Maybe you can let Cheap Charlie stay in it when he comes back to Thailand.
CC can stay at the resort. He is scared of the dogs. I am happy how it's come out. Also for less than $20k USD. It helps the foundation and the main metal frame was already in place.
@@rossinrayong632 Damn Ross, that's cheaper than a used four wheels drive camper for the back of my truck. If they can build it for around $20-$22K USD, you might want to think about putting several more on your property there in the back far away from the main house so that one day you can rent them out to dog lover expat friends of yours who are looking for cheap long term rental.
It could easily have been an additional $10000 if we still had to buy the frame and put the foundation in
Progress can seem slow, but it's gonna be nice when it's done.
I am actually surprised how fast it is going. It should be done by Mid to late June.
@rossinrayong632 your intro was like, oh my, look at my driveway. I thought it was funny, and that's why I said Thai style. They do get it done for sure.
Thai style. Lol
Nice, I personally like the videos above water a little better. Thanks
Good to know!
Hey Ross. It’s Mike. Can’t believe I randomly saw this video.
My old blue car.
How did you find the Maldives price wise and any recommendations on airlines or places to stay? Or Islands to stay on? Good place to play with my gopro
I think it depends on what you want to do. The remote islands are a romantic getaway but not much to do. Male island has everything, and is the main island. Prices were decent outside the hotels. I stayed at the Jen Hotel. Very good value. If you want to drink alcohol then stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Island.
