CC can stay at the resort. He is scared of the dogs. I am happy how it's come out. Also for less than $20k USD. It helps the foundation and the main metal frame was already in place.

@@rossinrayong632 Damn Ross, that's cheaper than a used four wheels drive camper for the back of my truck. If they can build it for around $20-$22K USD, you might want to think about putting several more on your property there in the back far away from the main house so that one day you can rent them out to dog lover expat friends of yours who are looking for cheap long term rental.

I think it depends on what you want to do. The remote islands are a romantic getaway but not much to do. Male island has everything, and is the main island. Prices were decent outside the hotels. I stayed at the Jen Hotel. Very good value. If you want to drink alcohol then stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Island.

Danang was great. Stayed at Diamond Sea Hotel. Excellent service and the bed was perfect. Prices on the ocean front were western prices. On the side streets, prices were much more inline with Thailand. Do not rent a car or bike. They drive crazy, and crossing the street you take your life into your own hands. No cars even slow for pedestrians. I have dived in much better places. Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge are must see things to see while there.

I have itchy boots these days. I have the need to travel every 2 months. Danang was a nice place to visit, would not want to live there. Next place Langkawi later this summer.

Agree to disagree. You don't know about either my financial situation or future visitors coming to stay with us. If an when you are in my situation you may choose something different.

I am on year 2. Have over 30,000 km. The car drives like it was day 1. Not a single mechanical issue. I feed it gas, change the oil on schedule and that's it. A few things I have learned. Do not block the vent behind back seat. This will cause battery to over heat. Be careful hitting the accelerator to hard. The wheels will peal rubber. Drive gently and get real fuel economy around 6.1 liters per 100 km with AC running.

The building of the guest house as it transforms from outdoor Sala to 1 bedroom home will be interesting. They plan to put new roof, walls, floor and more using existing frame. All for under $20,000.

Not sure you can call it a condition. Until you walk a mile in an other person's shoes can you understand what motivates then to do what they do. If anything it's called growing up.

He is now a millionaire and have F.U. money, so his attitude is that he is going to do what ever his heart's desire and F.U. to what anyone else thinks about his life choices. He admits that the house is basically in Mrs. X's name as owner. Don't worry Ross, Greg still have plenty of money left after buying that house in Rayong. He didn't buy a Giant custom built house on a huge piece of land like your place.

@darkbrother8516 was not worried. I gave up comparing my life to others. A million sounds like a lot. I have gone through more than that in the 9 years living here.

We are just like improving. Still have new grass and sprinkler system to put in during rain season
