Great Review man.
Cannot believe the Wi-Fi router is not causing hum or interference.
@@deccasupergold I know right!!!! I was worried about that initially so when I first installed the SUT, I unplugged it to make sure if there was any hum issue to begin with. Zero hum, so I thought, oh well why not plug it back in and I did. Zero hum! Zero Noise. I think the insulation of the Ath3s is top notch. Consolidated audio SUT had zero hum as well when I tried it here. I think both are top notch SUT. Thoress developed a hum issue however. I will get it to that in the comparison review.
Enjoy them ❤🎉
@@matzeflamingos Thank you. I’m really enjoying it.
Congrats ! How would you say the Supratek compared to the Airtight pre? I have a Signature Grange Supratek pre
Thanks mate! I will explain how the airtight pre compares to Supratek, Cary and Thoress in the upcoming review.
@@holytiger89 thanks. Look forward to it
If you are a picky, true critic of sound, if you like to hear unsurpassed perfection in a speaker, the Harbeth M30.2 XD is the masterpiece. Transparent, balanced, coherent, completely linear, exact in tones and harmonics, precise in all timbres. Those who know about this know that only this cubic size and two channels are the format capable of delivering perfection, everything else is unbalanced tricks, false equalizations, false bass, false highs to please the uncritical, spoiled ear.
Does your Elekit have the stock output transformers?
@@CollectingRetro Yup. it was the stock transformer.
@@holytiger89 Upgrading to the Lundahl option should make a big improvement.
I have had this amplifier for over 2 months now, could not be happier. Absolutely great product! You mention there's a slight buzz coming from the tweeters when putting your ear next to it, I think this has more to do with the tubes rather than the amplifier itself. I have not tried it without inputs - here is the thought - but it is the same kind of low level buzz as I get from my Musical Fidelity m8s-500s, which I consider normal. Another amp, FirstWatt F5t is dead silent. I tried Tungsol 6L6 STR tubes for the output stage with Psvane 12AU7S for pre/driver and this combo is absolutely silent. Lovel sound as well. After few weeks came back to the original JJ tubes, as I find those somewhat more soulful, more fun so to say. Also tried it with other speakers; JBL L90's, Focal Aria 948, Paradigms, Visaton La Bella, etc., could not tell which ones I liked the most, they all play quite nicely. Anyways, great review and comparison. Thank you for doing it.
@@0177MrGreen interesting! so you’re saying JJs the culprit. I will have to tube roll them to find out myself.
Love Brunoco. The amp sounds real great with Devore O/96. Also with Mon Acoustic PlatiMon speakers. I wonder how their 300B amp sounds like versus 6L6PP.
@@newdevilman1167 Totally agreed! Bruno really controls 96’s woofer. I heard the 300b bruno and it was wonderful as well. It has a very dense sound.
@@holytiger89could you elaborate a bit about the Brunoco 300b vs the Terra? I’m very curious and have thought about getting that amp
@@supergiddy3 300b has wider, taller sound stage. Brighter upper midrange and more air on the top end. Has a bloom to the sound. Terra sounds darker and has better control over the bass and goes down much deeper. I would say 300b’s bass is no slouch either, still very good.
Thanks so much for that feedback, most interesting!
Looking forward on u part 2 further comparisons of u brunoco against the other
Hi and thank you for the review! Is the Brunoco amp capable of controlling DeVores 096 when listening to big classical orchestra crescendos?
Bruno has the ooomph factor in the bass for sure but it sounds dark in the upper midrange - treble range to shine with classical music when paired with o/96 BUT, it's really good with my Kef because Kefs are kind of bright and Bruno tames the Kef's highs very well which does not fatigue my ears and makes the sound perfectly well balanced.
@@holytiger89 That's quite interesting. Thanx and happy listening!
Some good stuff you got there! Waiting for Brunoco addendum, hope it's good. :)
Nice system, that accuphase amp might need a little more room to breathe. class A tends to get hot after extended hours of play.
I swapped the places with firstwatt bc firstwatt is def a hotter amp. Whereas accuphase does get warm but not as much as I thought. But I might change the placement in the coming days due to cables being a bit short. My interconnects are being stretched a bit too much because of current placement of these amps.
@@holytiger89 yea I hear that, my F8 gets hot too.
Between Pass and Brunoco, which would be your preference? May seem like an unfair question - Pass is not fed with the same signal, but still. If you do not mind saying it loud, of course. ;)
That is really hard to judge. because as you said, it will really depend on what kind of pre amp you will pair it with the first watt. comparing a power amp to integrated is hard to judge. But all I can say is this. they are both dark sounding amplifier with first watt sounding sweeter in the midrange but brunoco has thumping bass that is hard to deny. I will soon release a video that compares other integrated amps to brunoco.
Lo probó con Moon 340i .? Estaba pensando en estos altavoces para el Moon.
Excellent! Thank you. One question, though; can Brunoco be used as a power amp, or integrated is its only function?
its integrated only but brunoco has power amps for sale on their website.
Great honest review and comparison exactly as it should be.
Any chance to hear the Brunoco play music? Thx
I tried to upload some videos with music on but TH-cam are not allowing any of it due to copyrights.
@@holytiger89 there is music with no copyright available…mostly from not so popular singers or bands. See other videos who demonstrate their speakers or gear with actual music. Thx for your reply
That bass is so boomy and unpleasant.
I appreciate the comparison review. I be most interested if you would to compare the Leben to the Brunoco 6l6.
Hi 👋 Do they have Pre tube amplifier with tone controller, phono input, two pre output , 4 input.please advise waiting for your reply thanks 🙏

Incredible gear dude, Gavore Speakers...I believe
I have an old Fisher 400, and am looking to upgrade to this amp, after listening to Jay and now this review.
Go Brunoco! I think they also sound amazing with classic vintage speakers.
looks good....sound like card boxes..sorry!?!
Via You tube. No surprises then really.
Thanks for the review! I’m curious how the Brunoco sounds compared to the Leben CS600 since you mention having had that previously. Could you describe how they compare?
This is borderline incomprehensible! , the uumm and likes - are very distracting…“ don’t wing it- you’re not the type to think on your feet- write it down next time ..
even with this simple type of video I realized just how much I freeze speaking behind the camera haha. And here I thought it would be a piece of cake. I gotta say I’m pretty camera shy so this video made me realize how not of an easy job youtube reviewing is. My first video and I got lot to learn. long way to go

Very nice! I had the amp in my system and returned it as it didn’t quite have the juice to power my Buchardt s400s to the degree of sounding full enough at moderate listening levels. It sounded absolutely amazing at louder levels. I do miss it almost every day and by now I can say it outperformed the Rega Aethos which I have running now. Even better and fuller and more natural sounding bass on the Brunoco than the 160 watts coming out of the Rega. It really struck a chord with me and I do very much recommend the amp. Curious about your other comparisons, this was great!
totally agree with you on describing the bass of this amp. Very full sounding and natural.
This makes zero sense
Who makes the Brunoco amp?
There is a long video of the designer himself on Jay‘s iyagi. He is a Korean fellow.
Jongho Kim is the owner and the designer of Brunoco amp.
It's quite telling................................. I don't see a pair of 3000 watt 15" REL's in the system. You've got a clue & I'm impressed. There's something I don't understand though. I have taken a guess as to the explanation because I'm only returning lately to audio systems again after raising the kids for 25 years. Why do today's audiophiles insist on piling all their gear on or almost on the ground between the loudspeakers? I can think of no place worse for goodness sake. The only reason I can think of, is that today it is the only arrangement where one can take a "selfie" and get all the gear in one Fakebook pic. I hope the reason makes more sense than that. Reggae, Funk & Brass 🔈🔉🔊
Yeah, I do agree with you that the rack and the amps should not be between the loud speakers. I have been considering moving them but It was not realistic option in my living room since most of the wall plugs were behind that side of the wall. otherwise, I would have to use really long pair of power cords.
@@holytiger89 . You've made some fine choices for your system. With those pieces, it's apparent you've had a lot of experience sorting out your preferenced sound signature. It takes time to make such a simple looking rig do almost exactly what we want. Good luck. I'm interested in what's next.
Ordered a 2a3 from bruno...wonder how it would sound compared to the 6l6...
I’m curious too! What amplifier are you using currently? Would like to hear your comparison. I guess you must have super efficient speaker for the 2A3? like a fullrange single driver or a horn
Yes, Sir, please compare to any other tube amps to which you feel make reasonable comparisons! Thank you for your review.
Thanks, I will make another video comparing this amp to 300b, KT120 and Leben 600cs
Please make listening demos too for us.
I wish I could! TH-cam blocked me uploading any videos with music in it because of the copyright issue. I already had 3 videos blocked because of that.
@@holytiger89 sad.. sorry about that. Please next time mention msrp to give some perspective financially too between the units.
@@MrBazsi888 yup sure. Brunoco is 3400 USD, Firstwatt SIT3 4000 USD, Linemagnetic 518 4450 USD.

now thats a juicy pre youve got there! a 300b pre! mine is a supratek chenin.
@@holytiger89 I have the 6j5 Grange..not the 300b..although sometimes I wonder...
I have the Supratek DHT/6SN7 Cabernet and love it. Eventually, I settled on NOS 45's as my tube of choice. The 6SN7's are driving my subs.
what a fantastic song choice ♥♥ haven't heard this one for years
I demoed these with a Leben cs300x. Sounded very similar to the PrimaLuna in this demo. Maybe a bit more texture and bass with the Leben. Have you had success with any other amp pairings?
no that was my only pairing. These are actually meant to be placed in a bookshelf and right against the wall which will probably enhance the bass so my demo was not a proper set up.
Great choice of track, nice demo, brilliant speakers. Thank you very much!
My favorite IT song. Thank you for posting as their first two records are not available digitally. Side note this was released in 1999 not 1994.
Seriously had me thinking I was 12 when the first album came out I was like wait NO I was not.
Would this work as a hifi desktop solution. Been lusting after these since release.
I'm sure it could
엠프? 소스기는?ㅡㅡ
wasn't there any other tube amp available ?[the DE VORE s are let down by this amp, IMHO]
what kind of sound are you after? I have heard the o/96 on many different amps and 300b is absolutely fine.
i think a LEBEN or an AUDIO HUNGARY would be more appropriate [i have not heard this TEKTRON here in Greece though ]
leben is just ok. not bad but not good either. 300b amps have better mid range and much wider sound stage than any Leben models.@@ΠαναγιώτηςΠαναγιώτου-μ1ψ
@@ΠαναγιώτηςΠαναγιώτου-μ1ψ so you haven’t heard it, it you know it’s disappointing?
in this video the sound is not right[on the contrary ,i 've heard these speakers with a Leben 600 -on utube- and liked them a lot ] but we must not judge a device unless we hear it by ourselves The sound of Leben and Audio Hungary is familiar to me because two friends of mine own such amps I do not know the Tektron at all

Overall sound not that great. I have heard these systems sound great. Don't know if it is the choice of music or the room. This one did not wow me.
