The problem is the hyper focus on the metaphysical and not remembrance through the action. The bread and wine IS Christ. Scripture just never clarifies how and in what sense directly because the point is not the substance but the action. Rome has become obsessed with the substance and has forgotten the action. And worse, this has created several generations of fallen away Catholics who focus on their faith in their faith rather than keeping their eyes directly on Jesus. You don’t do that by internalizing the idea of consuming him literally but rather by taking in the truth of his father which is his word.

If your whole religion is based upon Peter being the Rock then you're lost.

Uneccesary tideous man made protocols just another form of Idolarty to a church rather then true full reverence of Christ. Big diff from actual Christ followers. Bishop, what you said about attending kid’s sporting events really resonated with me. Our Parochial Vicar was visible this past year out in the community, including some sporting events in ways I have never seen. I think it helped him connect with youth (and other community members) in ways that were unique and special. Unfortunately he is needed as Pastor in another ACC starting in July, but he will be a great blessing to that community too.

Jesus sends His Holy Spirit to dwell within each of us when we fully place our faith in Him. He doesn’t enter a piece of bread.
