Trudy Marshall en Henry Brandon over Laurel & Hardy
Don Siegels 1958 Movie, The Lineup, has so many elements used in Dirty Harry that he and Clint must of used The Lineup as a template for Dirty Harry.
Blooming marvellous! Well done to all involved. If only we had this sort of enterprise in the UK... Thank you for sharing
5 jaar met deze dame gewerkt geldige tijd hoor!!!! 😊 als gitarist met het Rain bow trio
I've got an original poster from Charley Varrick. Great movie.
I liked how Carradine’s Cigar Chomping closely mimicked his character’s inspiration. That being Samuel Fuller himself.
Oscar Winner Lee Marvin, back when the Oscar actually meant something.
Know nothing about Fuller. But excellent to see behind the scenes footage of Lee Marvin making a movie.
Love Don Siegel films, my favorites are Hell is For Heroes, The Killers, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Dirty Harry!
🎬 The Old Independent School: An excellent portrait of a top master director. 👌🏻👌🏽👌
Sam Fuller made a nice WW2 movie.
Loved "Park Row", and I'm not a newspaper man. It's powerful and gritty, and had me glued to the screen like a magnet. Love many of Samuel Fuller's movies, just thought I'd mention Park Row, so others might check it out, if they haven't already.
The Only Version Of 1980's The Big Red One That I Prefer Is 2004's The Big Red One: The Reconstruction (160 Mins).
Great documentary. Thanks for sharing.
One of the best directors out of the 50s
❤je was en blijft geweldig joop❤
“The Beguiled” is one of the most unique and underappreciated movies of all time.
Thanks a lot for this. I love Don Siegel !
This man has directed CHARLES BRONSON-CLINT EASTWOOD-BURT REYNOLDS-MICHAEL CAINE and of course THE DUKE ..RIP Mr Siegel and bless you for DIRTY HARRY
Rust zacht Klaas.
Having watched Big Red One yesterday. I wondered if Vic Morrow had played the Lee Marvin character instead?
Don’t think it would have been nearly as good. Morrow’s hitch in the Navy was post WWII, while Marvin served in the Marines over much of the Pacific War. He participated in 21 landings until he was wounded in Saipan and evacuated. So he like Fuller would have had intimate knowledge of the type of subject matter that Morrow would have lacked. Plus Marvin’s Oscar suggests possibly better acting ability. Not to say that Morrow had little. He was a good actor.
Is Aldo Ray the narrator?
@@SmithMrCorona LOL. Okay then.
Thanks for showing a story about a great man 😊
the beguiled might have been siegel's best film, but he really deluded himself if he thought the beguiled would have swept all the big film award ceremonies and made 10 million dollars etc. if it had gotten a wider release. similar to william friedkin telling himself that sorcerer would have been a big hit if not for star wars. great movies are not always meant to be successful.
Agreed. Unfortunately the best films are always passed over by critics ans audiences alike in favour of unoriginal, uninspired mass crowd pleasing fantasy shit where the heroes are white and male, women are reduced to one dimensional pretty looking baggage and the endings are trite and predictable.
Wow wow wow! Modern Dutch people are still able to make windmills! I must be dreaming. It must be very difficult to make one windmill. Oh the Dutch people are experts.
Really interesting but the "music" is just awful.

Belissimo))
Mooi gemaakte, zeer onderhoudende documentaire. Hartelijk dank namens een Zandvoort liefhebber!
Don's magnum opus is The Killers.
rip burt 🙏🏼
Such a fascinating man.
Lee Marvin is probably my all time favorite actor. This is my all time favorite war movie.
Excellent find! Thank you! Also, is the narrator Aldo Ray? Sounds a lot like him and he’s a good match for this.
amazing way before the current wind turbines
what a great interview!
Sam Fuller was a fascinating guy! Great Documentary!
Check out his autobiography.... outstanding read.

Fascinerend om te zien. Hoe snel is zo'n molen gebouwd?
The opportunity to see and hear Henry Brandon was great! Thank you for this.
Great guy, Sam. Love his movies, especially his use of music, lights & shadow.
I can't believe that Henry was only around 22 when he played Silas Barnaby. Genius, and he was barely just a kid yet. I never knew he was that young then and seemed like such a seasoned performer already by that time. Amazing.
Heerlijke film een feest van herkenning
Thank You for 'posting up' these great videos.
Thanks so much for posting. I'm a big fan of Madigan, The Shootist, Flaming Star, Body Snatchers & more. I read his book, but have never seen a documentary on him.
