Nice vid thanks. l have great memories of living in halls back in the 90s, and my son will soon be coming to Monash so we're looking at accommodation for him. Looks like halls have been upgraded a bit in the past 30 years.

Problem with studying university at home is lack of peer motivation (where you see other peers in the lecture hall or tutorial room studying, you are more motivated to learn (herd behaviour)) and lack of environment subliminal trappings where because you are already at the university, so you “have to” study. If you are at home, your bed, and video game console is subliminally distracting your focus. There’s also the lack of exercise to walk between lectures.

Thank you for the tips! I am a year 10 student and we have picked our subjects for year 11. Actually I am a bit confused as I have picked Specialist, methods, physics, biology, literature and english because I want to get into medicine. But now I am feeling that I should choose just literature and do geography instead of English as I find geography very interesting and am confident i will do well in it but just dont know if it scales that well. Just thought to ask you if you think it is possible for me to achieve a 99+ atar with these subjects. Thank you

Great job boys! For me in vic English always goes and a subject which you put full marks for your ATAR so to get a high atar you need high marks in English 😭 it’s much harder because of that but if you like English you’re fine
