Lagoons are structurally underbuilt. Bulkheads are notorious for failing. There are recalls to fix the problems, but doesn't include hurricane boats.

Even more amazing that they get paid just to post pictures or a lifeless video full of silly commentary...like the comment about a fishing pole holder. Wow. What a selling feature!!!! You never looked for a generator either.

That boat would be on ther hard for well over a year before sea trial. sink $300k in refit and another 50k of bulkhead fix. By the time you are done, it would cost you the same as buying a used better boat and you would not have even had fun sailing it yet. You will also never get insurance for it and the resale will never be as good again. That right there is a parts only boat to be stripped, which it was. It is in all reality, just a badly damaged husk. Its worth is is in the low 10's of thousands and being in BVI, its cost to refit is exponentially high. Without working engines and a mask its worth very little.

Heh a 450...is the bulkhead pooched lime most others? Add another 30 k for that.

Which Engines?

I think a Good Saving System for the Cats . Could work. Simply Design a Long Float Bag . Like an Air Bag if water enters Either Side of the Hulls. Say Left Hull is Breached once water Level Reaches Half way. A Sensor then detects and DEPLOYS A Float Bag By The Inner Hull Under the Deck of the Bridge. I don't mean inside the Hull I mean under the deck on the Inner most side of damaged Hull. Which would keep water damage to a Minimum. under the deck

Yea Hurricanes Seem to Blow Motors and Electronics away into another Dimension. A Dimension that has Nether Work Nor Spending A Place Where Every Item Has a Value of 25% of Retail. A Dimension Called The Pawn Shop Zone.

If they would have LEFT THE ENGINES Submerged Until Owner Buy's Then The Owner Could Pickle Them. AKA Fill Engine with Desal - Oil and Then Rebuild .,,,No I would say Someone Stole the Engines Pickled, them Rebuilt them and Made a Cool $20.000

I see why the engines are gone. At a possible 90k a piece. I can see why their missing. So long as the rocker arm assembly is not rusted (being under water is unlikely). Like you said. Oil floats protecting that area and water below is not going to allow air which is what will start the rusting process. Those engines were very likely in very good condition. At this point. I’d get a couple forklift electric motors and put them in to replace the engines. Add more solar panels with a couple wind generators. Deep cycle batteries and a backup generator. I’d take her for $1000.00. There is a whole lot of work there. She needs electronics, rigging, sails and mast, fiberglass work and no telling what a survey would turn up. But, it would be a shame to see her in a salvage yard. She has potential.

the engines would have probably been good as oil floats on water and so long as air doesn't get in they should be fine, reality is they are easy to sell
