this reminds me of the nes game MILONS SECRET CASTLE in that you would have no idea what to do unless there was a guide or someone telling you...but somehow back in the 80's we figured it out without youtube or guides...must be the fact that we had 3 months off strait in the summer and didnt have things like employment holding us down!!!!
Some nes games were impossible to know what to do next unless you had a friend who knew what to do next or they had some information in a nintendo power magazine or you could call a hot line and ask them how to beat it. Now you can just watch a TH-cam video showing you how.
Ahhh, the deadly speed-snail. Yep. The only "Mystery" was why I played this so much growing up. The music was... ok and everything was very repetitive. AND you have to beat it 4 times to see the ending?!
I have been looking for this game for years... All I remembered was an impossible game where you go into a castle with multiple floors per room and a preying mantis comes out and kills you.
I was able to find this game by looking up praying mantis nes game. Haha I wonder how many people remember this game because it was so hard to pass that mantis?
17 minutes was as far as I ever got in this game. Actually, I never beat the second castle... even with a game genie. My child brain wasn’t smart enough to figure this game out 😂
I've been trying to remember what this game was for years. I used to play this and Adventure Island a lot when I was young and could never remember what this one was.
Thank you : ) sometimes I like playthroughs better with just the sound effects, and no commentary .... makes good music for working on the computer and more interesting than just playing the soundtrack alone
Wow, I vaguely remembered this as a kid. I thought I dreamed it, actually, and that it wasn't a real game. Finally came back to me today.
This was so satisfying to watch. I remember playing this as a kid and getting stuck at some point, never able to progress.

these castles are basically how it feels playing Sen's fortress in dark souls 1
Lol, a Mario rebrand. As a kid it always confused me so I put it down one day and never tried again lol.
Jeez, after all that he didn't make wizard status? Next time go to Hogwarts.
Sure was tough. Hope it comes on NES Online
I found this game at my parent's house. Finally remembered what this game was called

Hardest game I've ever played.

Thank you! Im glad you enjoyed
Yes when you beat B mode it recycles the game just more enemies and they get faster with each time you defeat it.
is there only side A and B? or after you beat side B you get a harder version of side B?
