Powerful! Insightful, and refreshing discussion. Helps me to think through the primacy and specialness of seeing all healthcare and Bio-Medicine through a Christian lens, not merely adding faith to the equation.

My "Uncle Rev" but always been more of a grandfather to me. After hearing my uncle story for the first time at 8 years old I was amazed to see the ministry flourish from a man with his backstory. The way the CHILDREN WAS ACCEPTED IN THE PROGRAM WITH OUR PARENTS. I felt the kids was overlooked not from a negative standpoint but because most looked at the program as a recovery program but to me if anything its a rehabilitation ministry that's for everyone. Exodus Homes ministry didn't only give my mother a testimony it gave me one as well. After visting years later I couldn't be more proud of what God has bless them with && I know there's more to come Love you Unc 😘

Stanley Hauerwas, in the last few minutes, says, I think: “I think one of the interesting developments in bioethics is how ethicists become “experts.” McIntyre makes the fascinating judgment in After Virtue that the distinction between fact and value that is so prevalent in the discourses around medicine, and, this [Dr. Carl Elliot’s] claims of bioethics about medicine is; in the distinction between fact and values; is not epistemologically required, but it is the distinction that legitimates the development of something called “The Expert” whose got their hands on the “right facts.” Now, what therefore happens, is the reproduction of those kinds of moves in the quote “sciences” (which, turn out, in terms of actual practices, wouldn’t know a fact… [if it bit them in the ass] …as an isolated event of some kind;) but that ethicists become experts in a way that reproduces a kind of false epistemological notions about knowledges that turn out to be not very helpful for thinking hard about what it is you do, when you legitimate another human being interacting in a way that touches other bodies, because they allegedly have expertise.”
