Hi, this looks great. I'm new to Brisbane and my wife and I are about to buy a double ski. Would you be able to recommend some good downwind runs for different wind directions in Moreton bay?
Hey Michael.yes mate,I can show you sum spots.best runs are northlys.the water gets to roll from right up the coast,all the way down to the port of brizzy.my daily run,is from redcliffe SLSA across to shorncliffe.thats a solid 10km,up to 12km,depending how far you paddle out before turning downwind.if its longer runs your after,it's just over 24km from Scarborough to shorncliffe. On the southerlys, I launch from either Shorncliffe river mouth,or nudgee beach,and shoot either over to redcliffe,or I life at Brighton,so sometimes I launch over at shorny and just paddle straight home.your more than welcome to come out with me,I can show you these waters.i go out every day,so don't be shy.i can send you a personal message if you like.
