This little hill gives you great views and on a windy day a feeling of being exposed to the environment. This route takes you up from Llangasty village hall, though there are several routes up. Most popular being from the Talybont side car park. Hope you enjoy #bannaubrycheiniog #...

Awesome loop walk Martin, I have planned a very similar one to this starting at the same place. Amazing scenery there and getting right into the heart of the moorland. Wind was insane on the Bryn Mawr summit , but cool remote views from there. How long did this take? Cheers, Adam
@@adamradford2285 whole loop just over 2hrs. Definitely felt remote atb Martin
@ Ah perfect that’s a nice time, I look forward to heading over there. Have a great weekend, good video again mate . Adam
Some lovely rolling hills there Martin and cracking valleys/cwms. A tad windy but still did the job for you. All the best for the weekend. Mark
@@WyeExplorer cheers Mark good location to practice my nav skills. I had the place to myself. Definitely blow any cobwebs away 🤣Enjoy your weekend Martin
@@smoggiewalks578 A pleasure Martin, yeah, with few features micro nav I reckon. Good to hear you had it to yourself. I will have a food one thanks.
I made a coffee for that one Martin - enjoyed it. I aim to do the Epynt this year if my leg's right. So, good to see you out there. I just love it out back - looks like you had a nice mist-filled day out. All the best. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Epynt way was as good as usual Mark, and for a change silent. The big guns were firing on Friday. Misty day with temperature around 0C. Great fun day. Although having been full of cold the last week, I did feel a bit unfit. Thanks for watching atb Martin
@@smoggiewalks578 Hey, that's good to hear Martin. I've done training at Sennybridge. Hope you feel fitter soon.

Morning Martin, Fab Frynach is one of my faves and its this time of the year I am generally inspired to get up there - just looked at my calendar for 2024 and it was Jan 15th although I had one Fan Bwlch Chwyth a week earlier. Lovely conditions but looks to have been very cold. I had the lurgy over Xmas so had my 1st (and very short walk) yesterday up the Allt. atb Al
@@thevalleywalker Cheers Allan it was freezing but I had it all to my self. I could see the dots on pyf, far to busy up there. Hope your feeling better. Will watch your allt Yr Esgair later. Atb Martin
Great winter walk there Martin, looked freezing! The crags looked beautiful in the snow. I think Craig Cerrig Gleisiad has got to be the best short walk in the central beacons , certainly too 3! Thanks for sharing, BW Adam
Impressive route up that Martin. I see from Hereford that the Black Mountains have been dumped on. A bice winter scene there. Mark
@@WyeExplorer cheers Mark, looking across to the black mtns they were definitely getting a large dump of snow.
@@smoggiewalks578 Oh yeah Martin - should be there for the rest of the week too.
Hi Martin, wow what unbelievable views, beautiful cloud inversion down the Usk valley. Great choice from the lonely shepherd viewpoint. When we went there we got hit by extreme rain showers lol. You got perfect conditions! Thanks for posting , cheers Adam

Wonderful winter scenery and what another lovely walk!😀 Thank you for sharing.
Such a beautiful snowy scene on Buckland Hill! Short walks like this remind us how magical winter can be. Love the Brecon Beacons for moments like these! ❄
It's ages since I have walked Buckland Hill and I pass it more times than I care to think about. Still some aurtumn colours hanging around there Martin, makes for a lovely combination with the white stuff. I had not been out for a week until yesterday afternoon but then decided to hoof it up to my local hill - Y Domen Fawr - it was freezing but nice to be out. Nice little bimble to watch that Martin. atb Alan

Hi Martin, I love this hill, great views of the Usk valley from the top. I like the summit bench and sign which has the panorama too. Did you go up from the Penorth side? Cheers, Adam
@@adamradford2285 yes up from pennorth side, my fav route up because it tends to be quieter only a shortern route today, but usually I like extending it down towards bwlch, back to the Talybont car park and back through the woods. Martin
@ I agree it’s definitely my favourite route up too, it’s beautiful and quiet from that side. The extended walk looks good too I’ll check that out on the map. Have a good week ahead
Hi Martin , really enjoyed this one. That’s a very sharp camera you have excellent clear views. It’s a dramatic landscape isn’t it. I have walked there once from Llangattock and recall that very steep rocky forested path! But at the top I went left towards the Llangattock escarpment then up to the Hen Aderyn trig point on top. Next time I’ll go right and explore the cliffs. P.s- when you put the camera into that cave it reminded me of a colonoscopy! Think I’ve been working too much lol 😂. BW , Adam
@@adamradford2285 it's a great place to explore, I used to live in Crickhowell and that was my view across the valley. Definitely entry to the caves can very imaginative. But I don't fancy caving despite being invited on numerous occasions. ATB Martin

Hi Martin I enjoyed this one! Wow that was some serious summit wind. The little tarn on the top is a nice feature of that mountain top.
