Dec. 20, 2024. Calvary Baptist Church Fruitland Park, FL. Full disclosure- My first time hearing you sing. Wonderful evening. You said this was your first - we were your last Christmas program. Thankful to have been with you. God bless you - in every way. Holy Spirit lead you onward for Jesus. Merry Christmas 2024. 🌺✝️🌺🛐🌺
my wife and I have enjoyed the services at Burgess Rd. Much thanks to Pastor Cooley and the technical staff for recording and sharing these messages from God .We will be praying for your church .
a note of love from Dennis and Peggy in Atlanta now . Do you remember us from 40 yrs. ago .We have started watching your services and have been greatly blessed .
Right...so the father is a person, the son 'jesus' is a person and the Holy spirit is a person. That's 3 times persons but not 3 persons than 1 person. I'm asking you what language are you speaking? Is this English? By God, this is gibberish. It's not an English.
Pride keepeth a man from accepting Christ. As the Bible says, “”Pride goeth before destruction, And an haughty spirit before a fall.“ Proverbs 16:18
Hum... Agree to disagree. Bible is full of prove about Israel getting together to worship. Their personal knowledge and relationship with God was the center of their lives particularly which is why they gathered to praise the Lord of lords. Pharisees on the other hand made it a lecture. Just saying.
We agree music is PART of worship, and we are told to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. However, reading and preaching God’s Word is not a lecture. It is how we know Truth and how the lost are reached with the Gospel. “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.“ (1 Corinthians 1:21 KJV)
@@burgessroadbaptistchurch I agree. But what are we teaching? Our doctrine, blind people trying to guide another blind. Are we fulfilling Jhon 17:3? No, we want to be right and forget to show God's true face, we make rules and slave ourselves and others in our thoughts and forget James 1:20. we teach a ruthless God because that's our character. We need to trust the promise in Hebrew 8:11. It's happening as you read this, God is teaching us Himself but we wanna say what we think on pulpit.
@@011088ecl if we are preaching God’s truths that are in those verses we can’t go wrong. If we are using God’s Word to provide Biblical wisdom and teach Biblical truths we can’t go wrong. If we are dogmatically adding laws based off personal conviction we are violating God’s Word. No one is perfect, including a pastor, but hopefully the people will know a Godly pastor by his fruits.
Some men have prover to be false teachers and are worthy of the “nut” title, but Pastor Cooley has faithfully preached God’s Word as it is written for 47 years.
@@welcomethewurst9433 There’s more chance of fairies and unicorns frolicking down the Main Street. Or maybe I’m talking nonsense, seems to be a lot of that about.
Church is necessary. 60% of the references to church in the New Testament are references to the local church. The Apostles put GREAT importance on the local fellowship of believers to experience God their Father with each other. A love for God is a love for His children as well
We all need prayer and should pray for each other. The New Testament nowhere commands, or even recommends, that Christians submit to a legalistic tithe system. ”But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.“ 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
@@JoeMama-ue4ye salvation is not works based. It’s a free gift offered through faith in Jesus. Those who follow Jesus will produce good works including honoring Him, but that is a by product of salvation.
@@burgessroadbaptistchurch If salvation is contingent on faith in Jesus it's not a "free gift." Also one does not need to believe in Jesus to do "good works." Hindus, Jews, and dare I say atheists, are all equally equipped to do good and in their world view Jesus is not necessary.
@@JoeMama-ue4ye yes it is a free gift. No one can earn their way to Heaven. They can only accept the free gift of eternal salvation by trusting in Jesus. You are correct that anyone can do “good works”, but as we are all sinners none of us can ever earn eternal salvation no matter what good works we complete. Those religions you mentioned all base their eternity on good works and following a moral or written code. They in fact are attempting to earn their salvation. Jewish people no longer have to follow Old Testament law and regulations, nor do they need to make sacrifices for their sins to be forgiven. Jesus is the spotless Lamb that became the final sacrifice for mankind. In His blood there is forgiveness and all any Jew or any Gentile needs to accept to have this eternal forgiveness is that Jesus is their Savior.
Thats not what it means. It means if your faith is strong enough in Christ you will find relief in belief. And its hard to do. If you are suffering and in pain....drugged.....your anger will control majority of your mind.you lose your mind too. And your hearing voices and demons tearing you apart.....there isnt much relief. Only in christ. Our world is so sinful that it fights that belief. So it makes it hard to find it in illness amd strife. So say i have to believe that (walle....a angel) exists bc it makese not alone....but the world tells.me not. Ive never seen him. I dont know a name. Im divorced. So i would have to tell myself a lie and believe it. You ever told yourself a lie amd had to believe it when your upset and distraught?..... if you dont have faith in christ....you will. So thats what God is saying. And thats one exmaple ..there are many things other examples
Powerful point and so very true. For those who have allowed their afflictions to drive them to seek God. They will attest to it. Like the saying goes, "You don't know (realize) that Jesus is enough until He's all you've got."
O how I long for that blessed day when we shall see our Redeemer fase to fase! Than shall we in perfect harmony sing the praise of God. May Jesus Christ be glorified!
Very nice. Very pretty voice. I love these old hymns as beautiful, historical, representations of a time before men began to think and reason. When men still believed in and feared invisible gods.
Lol, mythology is fun!
the real reason for Christmas, Thank you for the clear message of God's love and His plan for our salvation.
Thank you! God bless you!
