Supplies Acquired, Built a Sifter, Blueberries, Old cabin site revisited (Living life my way) Ep.21
So now that the stilt cabin is built, I have time to get back to other things. I finally got a sifter built after doing a supply run and remembering to grab some 1/4" galvanized grid wire. Didn't grab any wood, figured I could find some or make something. Luckily, I was able to find some 1 x 4 laying around. Put the sifter to the test at the old cabin site where I found the 1892 Indian Head penny. Didn't find anything but nails on this venture back, but it was good to test it out. Worked very well. Did a supply run and got all stocked back up to stay in the wilds awhile. Picked blueberries at my blueberry patch in the forest. Also, I show something cool I discovered inside the old vintage coffee tin I found in a previous video at the old cabin site.
I'll be getting back to exploring the area I'm in again. I still have some spots in mind to get to and show you guys. When I find a spot, I can stay awhile and explore I will. I see too many tubeyouber's feel like they have to keep moving and showing new places to make fresh content. For me it's not about that, it's about finding a good base camp and hiking around an area, in this case an area with great mining history and seeing what I can discover hidden in the brush. Seeing what lost history is out there. Not moving much, so I'm not burning money on fuel as well, which is always nice.
Maybe I'm not as exciting or over the top in my talking like others on here , but that's because that ain't me. I am who I am, and I've always been myself. Sometimes, people think I'm depressed because of my low quiet talking or I'm running away from things. This isn't the case. I'm being myself and living the life I'm happy with. TH-cam is just a place to express myself in a way I enjoy. A way to show a beautiful side of life outside of what most people would call a normal life. I broke free of the monotonous life I was living, where I was truly not happy and have never looked back or had regrets. I've always been searching for something in my life that wasn't going to be found in mainstream society. I never felt myself there, and in that sense, I was very much misunderstood by people. I tried too hard to fit in when I wasn't meant to fit in, I was meant to break away. And I did.
Thank you for subscribing to my little adventure channel and coming along with me on my journey. I appreciate you all!
Cheers, Danny and Starsky.

Completing the Tiny Cabin on Stilts (Believe in Yourself) Ep.20 Part 5
มุมมอง 2Kวันที่ผ่านมา
In this vid we add more bracing and get the roof completed. This task has been a big one, but, it feels amazing bringing it into fruition and accomplishing what I set out to do. People will always doubt you or simply try to bring you down, but, the best and most important thing you can do is believe in yourself. Don't look for other peoples approval or validation on what you do in your life, it...

I am very close to completing the project, I basically just have the roof to build now and it wi...

A crazy Idea begins (Cabin on Stilts) Ep.16 Part 1
มุมมอง 727หลายเดือนก่อน
So having time to do what I want I've decided to build something crazy. A Small cabin on stilts or pillars. I've thought about it for awhile. I watch Dick Proenneke's "Alone in the Wilderness" religiously and his little food storage on stilts has always fascinated me. I won't be building it as high as he did, but, same kind of concept. Something fun to try while out in the wilds. One day I hope...

No ones ever Crazy.. in this life and times.. you're not one.. if you're building a place for yourself where you're the king of the hill. Be Happy be open.. write a journal.. and in 10 years.. when you've passed this stage.. you'd think.. hmm how i could have done this better.. this way.. or that way... more stable support more bigger space.. more standing talll space.... a place to cook easily .. a place to take a shower.. perhaps under the cabin or 2 in 1 space covered by a tarp and later made into a solid chip board covered area...a cooking and relaxing area. and upstairs into a sleep area.. the cook stove pipe going through the upper sleep area to keep it warm in winter..that you can remove.. n next summers.. But that is yet to come.. So keep on doing what you like... Build a rock cutout pool for yourself.. and you'd still be happier than many. Regards from Singapore, stay safe.. Just started watching cool project! I don’t know your overall design but what I see I would add diagonal bracing between the vertical poles. Diagonal braces between the verticals will do what you want without the need for an extra vertical post. The extra vertical won’t make the structure more stable. You need lateral stability ? Good luck!

Haha, ya, I take it places it has no business going, but I like my privacy and quiet. The further in I can get the better. You definitely have to take in account the weight. I try and walk the ground I'm going to be driving over if it looks soft. But I also just give er sometimes and get in trouble 😅. That why I have the winch though, it has saved me countless times now. Best investment. My winch is rated for 10,000 lbs. I keep the winch separate in one of my side compartments. So I can put it on the front (had to buy a front hitch for the ambo and mount it) or the back. I have a battery just for the back hitch, so I can pull from the back or the front. Which ever way seems best. It's a great investment and I would highly recommend it if you plan on going in to places like I do 😁. Cheers,Danny.

Always love your music choices and loved hearing your thoughts! You are very wise and you have such a sense of humour that I admire! You waving in the window after cleaning it was one moment of it.

Hey! Thanks cous. I appreciate the kind words. I always feel a bit weird filming myself and talking to a camera, but I don't hide my awkwardness or my true self. I am who I am, and that's all I can be. Hope all is well with you and yours. Cheers,Danny.

It's from cubicminiwoodstoves.com . They make awesome little wood stoves, I have the cub. It's the smaller version but heats my ambo space great. I believe the bigger one is called the grizzly for bigger spaces. They have everything you need to get it going properly and safely.. Thanks for the sub! Cheers,Danny.

I used a starlink long mount and attached my dish to the drivers rear of the vehicle. Door opens all the way, the dish lies flat when it encounters high winds so on the highway it sits right in the slipstream of the giant box in front of it. I did have to add 2 grub screws to there the starlink slips in the mount to tighten everything up and prevent wobble.
