Just hopped on seventh heaven for the last day of Black Friday. Didn’t know it was a pop vocal staple. Everybody uses that thing. It was an impulse buy but oh well. Tell you what! My rig is mean! Proper toolbox future proofs a lot. Strategic Black Friday impulse buys have served me well.

For me it's the Seventh Heaven Professional. I can't anything else to sound as good on my voice.

Which piano did you use at minute 12:30?

Instead of CMD clicking all the tracks you want to reroute which are currently routed to the main out (which can be tedious/prone to mistakes on large sessions), you can right click the output itself on any of those tracks and click "Select Assignments To Output 1-2" (or whatever your main out is called.) Fast and foolproof way to reroute a fuckton of things.

Question. With software-based reverbs can you assign different FX on each channel of a mixer? In other words if I have say 5 or 6 keyboards plugged into 10 different channels on my PreSonus mixer can I still assign different affect settings for each channel. Delays on one reverbs on another Etc sorry I'm an old guy looking to move out of the hardware rackmount units

Is it just me or do cubase reverbs all suck?

I want to tell you where I'm coming from. Once upon a time when I started recording using Ntrack studio, I used to love turning on the monitor with the little reverb and it sounded awesome. I used to love creating. And then I got cubase and every time I put on a reverb it sounds like wow so spaced out that's totally ridiculous sound. Tell me what reverb can bring me back to that beautiful sound I used to enjoy

There's still an easier way to do this. Just put an audio track next to the master fader. Route the master fader to the track and enable the input so you can monitor it. Press record when you're ready. The aux track isn't needed.

Been offline bouncing since it came a feature in Pro Tools, never looked back. And I actually have my session ready to print in it. Neither my customers telling me there is something “odd” in my mixes. What they actually asked me was not to send the .wav file through Whatsapp!! 😂

Nice video. I want to ask what about if some tracks(like verbs,delays and parallel auxes)we don't want to send them to mix buss and compress them again with the buss compressors or whatever inserts there will be in the mix buss. How then we can print the mix identical to our mixed song? Thanks again

I've been a professional mixer for 12 years and I've always used the bounce function. No quality difference. A more practical approach would be to ditch plugins that don't bounce correctly

question: if you go to meta pitch presets, you have 02: extreme - the creature... I love this sound, everything about it but I don't like the fact that it tunes to one note, however by turning "robot" off on the slider, it also gets rid of that crunch/ gritt/ autopan effect... how can I get the effect that I want?
