13 night cruise to New Zealand Auckland visit to Waiheke Island
In this video you can discover some of the things to do on beautiful Waiheke Island. We visited Waiheke Island by ferry from Auckland as part of our 13 night cruise to New Zealand on the Royal Princess.
Once on the island we collected a hire car and started exploring this picturesque location.
We had arranged a scenic flight around the island and also a horse riding experience.
The island is also popular for it's wineries. Just near the air field for Waiheke Wings we saw the Batch winery. It is worth a visit to that location just for the spectacular views. There is a hop on and hop off bus that will take you right there.
Below are links mentioned in the video.

Thanks Time to Travel. So how long do you think you had to queue for the shuttle for?
From memory, it was hour and half or so from the time we got our tickets to the time when our numbers were called. We didn't go get the tickets until we were ready to get off the ship as this was what Princess was telling everyone to do. If we knew the wait was going to be long, we would have got our tickets before we were ready to go. Enjoy your travel 🙂
@@smartphoneinfo Thanks so much!!
Looking amazing
Tasmania is not in Australia. Please write it in its right format because the use of the day who don’t know where we are on the planet and getting everything in order is the most important as we don’t have anybody here in Australia guiding the ship whatsoever laws mean nothing here, we should get back on the right side. Regards Alan from the mainland as Tasmania is a wonderful fabulous island. Thank you for being you all the Tasmanian people.
came here from a reddit thread where they call this town creepy like in a horror movie
Same lmao
Same lmao
Great video, how did you attach the hammock? Did they ever lock your balcony door on sea days, saw they could online in the booking.
Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video. We attached one end of the hammock on the railing and the other end on the top of the partition between our balcony and our neighbour's. They don't lock the balcony door on sea days. You can certainly go out when you are sailing, but it can be very windy near the railing. The only thing to keep in mind is at night the curtains need to be closed or turn your cabin lights off as the light in the cabin can interfere with the bridge. There is a note on the balcony door as a reminder. Happy Crusing 🙂
We are taking this cruise in December. It looks like you had a lovely vacation.
The Antartic centre is/was worth visiting. But beware the ice slide, ouch 😮
Thank you for posting
Thanks for watching 🙂
Thanks for the video. What time of year was this?
We went in early December.
Nice balcony!
Yes, we really enjoyed having this big balcony!
😊k❤
I just had food at the Rusty Iron Thai, it was unbelievably delicious. Highly recommend
Excellent video. We were there in March. We had perfect weather and it was picture perfect. We saw lots of wildlife just metres from the Cradle Mountain Lodge and were treated to platypuses frolicking in the dam outside the restaurant during breakfast. Great memories.
I went there in February 1982 as a 13 year old. The thing that struck me was there were no trees whatsoever. The tour operator told us it was because they needed fuel to run the furnaces so they cut down all the trees. That was the point I realised how much damage humans do to the environment. It's good to see that there are now trees growing, I hope they can get them to completely cover the areas that were forested before mining started.
Thanks for your video. I was talking to someone in Geeston a while ago & I wanted to see how the place looks like
It's been over 40yrs now, since I spent several months in Queenstown. It certainly has changed for the better. It was a sleepy little town with no trees covering the hills surrounding it. The modern buildings have brought the tourists to a lovely town. I'm certainly going to have to go back and explore some more. 😊😊
I did. Moonscape comes to mind. Couldn't wait to get to Strahan.
Been there a few times it`s great. Thanks mate
Cheers
Great video mate, I'll have to put the trip on my to do list! Your background music went over your voice a bit in the letter half of the video, just a heads up for next time!
Bin-a-long. Binalong Bay. Not Bine a long bay. Great videos 👍 👌
love going to queenstown
Geoo steele. Great place to visit. Bloody cold. Love it 2004. 😊
I'm a Canadian and I have been to Australia. I would love to go to Tasmania.
My father and most of his siblings were born in Queenstown. My grandparents are mostly remembered for their house (that my pop built) burning down while they were away up north. Eventually they settled in Launceston and most of the family are still around Launceston region today. Thanks for your video. I haven't been to Queenstown for over 40 years!
Thanks for sharing your family's story. Sorry to hear the house your pop built got burnt down.It must have been tough for them. Queentown is very unique, we'd like to visit it again one day.
Thanks for sharing. We are going there in November/December 👍🏻👍🏻
Hope you enjoy it!
Time~good morning-Thank you. how amazing ~ ;))
