Clint Eastwood is amazing
I really thought I had found all the versions of this work of James Newton Howard-plus (the version with genius yet-further-honed by the Holy Spirit of God, who saves the characters in the movie, but also wants to save us out in "the real world" through the movie). Gilles, if you can play that, you are blessed too. Take every joy and insight you can out of that fusion of talent with the transcendent and the divine! Although I ADORE music (and love this particular tune beyond words, thanks be to God), I cannot play a note. A lost opportunity and a missed chance in my life. But I did NOT lose the opportunity and miss the chance when the Holy Spirit came to me just over a year ago. I allowed myself to be Born Again - a term I never expected to apply to myself. But here we are. You win some, you lose some. But boy did I ever win with this one? I love the Paraclete.

@@fgbowen So actor and piano - you are blessed with talent. Thanks to this music I "saw", just as the characters in the movie "saw". Before I was blind, at least somewhat. After I knew that everything has meaning and purpose, love and truth in it. At least everything that is not evil (as we see so very clearly here and now in 2022 - evil is not just "more bad", it is also meaningless, random, empty, capricious and chaotic). I see the wonder of that, and - thanks be to the Holy Spirit - received the gift (I think) of being able to write about it. From this music, and thanks to the power of discernment received from my own direct encounter with the Paraclete, I am also able to find other pieces of music that carry the power of God in them. The list is not so very long - lots of music does NOT have this power. But the list is not short either, and wonderful of course. Quite often the artists have no idea that they have been touched by the Spirit, which I suppose does not matter so very much - the touching has taken place anyway, and the good is done, and love, truth and mercy passed on. But I DO know the name for it, and am not shy to use it. BTW, "Hand of Fate 1" has even more power, as that includes the moment of Revelation in which fear and chaos give way to meaning and insight and love and awareness and humility in the face of something so wonderful, so far beyond us, yet within us, a part of us, entirely integral to us. If you watch the "how Signs was made" presentation somewhere here on TH-cam, you will actually see the divinely-inspired genius MN Shyamalan say to the divinely-inspired genius JN Howard that "all will be OK is the orchestra gives it 10% MORE LOVE". They did, and it was - in a movie designed to try and give people some renewed hope after 9/11... Of course, the Spirit would not miss a chance like that, and did not miss it.
