Thanks for the step by step. I thought that I saw when you were exporting the mp3 file, that the circle next to mono wasn't filled in but I think the stereo was filled in instead. Around the 11:12 time stamp. Will that matter if mono isn't filled in? Also, I was hoping that I could read anything that I wanted but one has to only read what is selected to be read as designated in the forum? I wanted to narrate a specific book but I guess I'd be able to find something of available books if I had too.

I am just getting started. Do I need to upload multiple samples a few times a week to gain visibility?
ACX used to discourage having too many samples, but it is a good idea to upload new ones and delete old ones as you improve and have better samples. Also, I found that just changing your profile has a similar effect and can keep you higher in the search results with regular updates.
how long does it takes for the submittion to get accepted?
It is all up to the Rights Holder. I have had offers and rejections within hours of submitting an audition, and I have had others stay "active" for many, many months.

so i tried applying on upwork and turns out they banned russia entirely. you can't even choose Russia as a country you live in!
Yeah, that is their way of expressing their world views.
Why do you use audacity for librivox but this for acx?
I show audacity for videos about libravox because all their documentation is geared towards that software as it is easy for beginners. I use ardour for most of my recording at this time.
