man... reaching the end of this level and the "haunting" bit clearly wasn't play tested. It keeps mentioning that if you've already put the haunts to rest, so-and-so event won't occur despite the fact that the event in question must be solved in order for the haunts to be put to rest. Its like saying "They key to the safe is locked within the safe. If the player already has the key, they may use it to unlock the safe... finding the key".

In my games, the staircase ends at the lowest layer of The Abyss (it never ends), and once you begin descending the stairs, each step disappears after you've stepped off it. You can never climb up, only down.

Thanks for giving this book some attention! I feel like The release of the new core rule books sucked some of the air from this one. The same thing happened to Keys from the Golden Vault. I’ll definitely be watching all of your Staircase videos though, thanks again!

As a DM I can use this

Cool But a bit niche

As a D/GM I start every session by asking each player to answer a question about their character. Can be big and plot related, but just as often it's what they like for breakfast, how did they celebrate their 13th birthday, do they have a personal hero... And by asking each player a different question it makes them all think of what their answers would have been so everyone is fleshing things out in their heads as well. Great way to ease people into character, highly recommend it.

I have a player that tried to steal from the vendor he is still yet to get to the point where I feel it appropriate to tell him that the potion he brought from that vendor was switched to just water, I'm waiting until his down to very low health mid battle

This new book is just DEI as a re-release. It didnt need to be re-done. The changes are minor and boring.

I came here with the opposite info! I never knew how to pronounce the location so I just went with si-jul, now all of a sudden I'm seeing all this project Sigil stuff but everyone I've seen promoting has said Si-gul. I realize this is fantasy spellings but if you want me to say Si-gul don't spell it like a pre-existing word that has a different pronunciation, imo.

About to run this for my friends in the next month, I've ran half of a homebrew so I have *some* experience but I'm looking forward to running a written module and the fact there's a whole playlist/series here is very helpful, thanks!
