Woodstock weekend!

You lucky people to get ' detectives' on MAIT. Us UK fans didn't get that, it was single only. (Same as TYM...we missed out on radio radio). I think I might be right I. Saying Clover did MAIT but not Detectives.....wasn't that the drummer and bass from The Rumour? Agree that Costello and Lowe generally did better albums than others, but there are obviously exceptions. In my personal view, the last album The Boy Named If, was his best since Brutal Youth, and almost sounded like an Attractions LP.

This once upon a time was the "holy grail" of KISS albums. It's still pretty special...

That's the Canadian release. I also have that one, with the booklet. Outstanding Record Set. I bought a KISS magazine from a360media company this year. Of all places, it was on the grocery store checkout stand. There are a host of vintage KISS pictures in the magazine. I went back the following day to buy a second copy. And there was none to be found.

I didn't realize this when it was first released but it was a great marketing idea. Bill Action had to try and sell more copies of the first three albums since they didn't sell as many separately, and if you were a longtime fan of the band, you already had the albums but you wanted all the extras that came with it but what a brilliant marketing idea.

The Osbournes sort of exposed Ozzy a bit, Sharon looked like she was exploiting him and to die hard fans he became of a buffoon., and really that is when non fans prior to the show started to follow him. It was a band called Blizzard of ozz, really up until Steve Machat signed just Ozzy to CBS in 1981.....then that empowered Darth Hideous to fire lee Kerslake and eventually Bob Daisley, and a new band was born, the Ozzy Osbourne band, though Tommy Aldridge and Rudy Sarzo viewed it as the Blizzard of Ozz still and Randy Rhoads was the band leader.

If you're poking around grateful dead, they're squarely a live performance band, high synergy improv and a great relationship with the audience. They call themselves bad studio musicians. Half of their material never got studio recordings but were played for years or decades, most of their albums are live recording albums. Blues for Allah strikes me as their best studio album, Aoxomoxoa second, but yeah this one and American Beauty have their radio songs on them. According to Weir their best performances were in the late 80s, after they had formed years of synergy with Mydland but before his death. The late 70s performances are really popular with fans due to the high energy and setlists full of fan favorites. Beautiful band, approaching something of a minor religion with its following.

❤Great Tribute. Melanie went on at Woodstock at 11:30 as it beagan to rain. The Incredible String Band was scheduled but didnt want to play in the rain. Everyone was sleeping when they came on the next morning. Thank you for covering "The Good Book". Flawless album.

Saw him live in the Chicago Auditorium in 1975 with my high school sweetheart. Was very impressed with his musicianship. Remember getting into an arguement with her on the way back out to the suburbs after she professed her rather overt desire to reward him in a (biblical) way! I was a bit dismayed by what I considered a rather wanton willingness to throw her self at someone and admit it out loud. I think Van played about five or six different instruments that evening.

Al great presentation…my first Van Lp on cassette I was very mobile then in NZ . Great Van to this Day. Cheers🎵🎶💙
