Barbie collectors are even harsh on the Barbie IG 😩I guess it should be expected, but a lot tend to call the mtm dolls ugly for no other reason than the fact that they're mtm 🙃 Same w/ the outfits. Keep sharing your opinions, and have fun collecting any & all dolls you'd like too! 💗

I am a 2000's kid and disliked Barbies of my time. One day my grandmother and I were in a second hand store in New Orleans and I saw this doll, the Holidays 1992, and the Radiant in Red one completely new in their box. I fell in love with them right away. They were so different! Their jewelry, rings, big ball gowns, red lipstick and their hair colors. My grandmother got them for me and she was shocked I wanted dolls lmao I was like 10 at the time and was never a Barbie or dolls girl but these 3 dolls were so special, feminine and fashionable that I couldn't help but loving them. Barbie in the early 90's was very glam! I think they were like $5 each at that time! My mom who worked as a tailor made me around 20 beautiful silk and satin black, blue, pearl, and peach ball gowns for them and some even had stones, pearls or sequins on. I moved out of the state a couple years ago and left these dolls regretting that I didn't take at least 1 with me. Unfortunately, when paying a visit back to my parents house I noticed my dolls weren't in my closet anymore. Turned out my dad thought it was a good idea to donate them to a Goodwill with all their well-made handmade wardrobe. I was devastated to say the least so much my dad felt very guilty afterwards! I took care of them so well growing up that those dolls were like new despite being played with so much. Recently, I repurchased my childhood Barbies and got 2 of these! One I bought myself and the second one was a surprise from my dad who said he felt so bad that sooner or later had to make it up to me. ❤️ This is my favorite one. I remember my grandmother used to say this doll was an Opera singer from Spain because of her black hair and red lips AND I believed her 😂😂😂

Am I the only one that kinda hates what those hanfus look like like you can get nice ones for cheap like all my dolls are wearing hanfus and one of them was like cheap but nice and as someone who is very interested in cultural fashion and fashion in general it aggravates me how cheap feeling and looking they are

If you ever share the story booklets that come with these dolls, I would be SOOOO interested in hearing Dell's story. I have Dell but I don't have her story, and I haven't been able to find any copies of the booklet online :(

I'd love to see a doll line full of different mythological creatures! Satyr/Satyress especially (sorry to be a nerd, but I always play as a satyress bard in D&D, seeing a doll like that would be so much fun.) Such a line could even have a few different kinds of fairies! A harpy could be really cute too, especially if they model them after a fun colorful bird.
