Investigating America’s Most Infamous Border
Our road trip across the United States would not be complete without a stop at our border with Mexico. So we spent a few days in the El Paso area, learning from locals and experts on immigration policy, the politicization of the wall, and what the reality of what life near the border is like.
About us: we are two college students who are genuinely curious about the wide variety of people and perspectives across the United States. This summer, we are traveling the country to answer the question: what is the current state of America? Follow along to learn as we go.

Thank you for what you do! I'm like a lot of the other people who make the world go round, started working on our dairy farm when I was 7 years old feeding cattle making fence washing cows udders before putting milking machines on, driving tractors at 7 , did this to hang out with my dad and older brother, and also marked sticks for logging, spent 40 years of over the road driving money was good, four spinal fusions and I'm jealous of people who can go for a walk

I don't know anything about the fishing industry, but it sounds to me that you're fighting for an antiquated lifestyle. As an outsider I say give up and let the big corporations do the dirty work. Move on and find a solution that benefits both you and your family. You sound like the story of sisyphus, forever pushing a boulder up an infinite mountain. Give up. Move on. Just my opinion.
