I say make a defensive towers around your base/prison with turrets at the base of the towers in each direction with underground pathways to them when it’s ready to defend the base

Build some watch towers with turrets near the base of the towers so they can survive longer for defense

If you’re planning on having a basement in your base, I hope you’ll build from the center of the base and slowly move out to put support beams in or goodbye base and hello to crying like a baby lol jk

Build a lumbar yard within the forest and have it as secondary base after you get the main up and running
