All topics to know: 1.1. 1:43. : How to convert between denary, binary and hexadecimal. Uses of each data type. Understand different file formats. Understand how music, video, pictures and text are stored with data. Understand lossy and lossless compression format. Error checks(arq, checksum, even and odd parity, automatic repeat request 1.2 15:03 : Transmission types(serial, parallel). Understand their uses. Simplex, half duplex, and full duplex, plus their individual uses. Security software. Different types of malware and how they work. Understand antiviruses. Internet and connection to a pc. More stuffs : Html apparently(this likely will not be present in the exam paper). Logic gates(valuable marks for these questions) Input devices. Output devices. Sensors(last three of pretty handy for small but easy marks). Things not mentioned but will be super handy to brush up on : Ethics. Von neumann architecture. Buses and (forgot the name).(someone help me with the last one). Different storages(e.g, solid state, ram, all that stuff) Hope this helps cover everything, now look for a small but still little bit big video for all these topics, and please comment for any missing details Good luck!
3:18 I'm not sure if I made some hidden mistake, but at this time, you said 64 + 8 + 2, which is actually equal to 74, just in case this could be confusing for some Edit: someone else pointed it out already, and it was just a mistake, wishing the bestest of luck to all going to the exam tomorrow
Is this still good for this years winter igcse?
i think so,cuz this was so useful in my previous tests
Wait sorry I’m so confused isn’t D (hexadecimal) 13 in denary? I may be wrong but I was just confused because google also says its 13
thanks man
TQSM BRO
Tomorrow is my paper 1 exams thanks for the video!!❤
how did it go
@@M0RA_suks pretty simple, this time, 7 mark in fetch decode execute cycle
@@ajwhellomo oh ok nicee
Will you make a video for the upcoming paper 2 exam?
I have some confusion about the logic gate statement you explained at 29:24. You said that we do A NAND B, then we do B NOR C, and then we take the NOT of BOTH of them. But the way I understood, is that we're ONLY supposed to take the NOT of A NAND B, because it's just outside the bracket of A NAND B. Am I right?
ur right, he made a slight mistake while explaining that's all. even i noticed it.
Thank you ❤ I have a test tomorrow hopefully I pass
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Thannk you very much bro

thank you so much mate im gonna smash my test tmrw now
It said right at the beginning or end in my case is both 😢
You are seriously underated, thank you for making these types of videos
I appreciate that!
can you please do trace tables, i really need it and im stuck, your help would really benefit me for my upcoming test on trace tables! 😄
Hey James, your videos are really helpful. Could you please make a video on this question of November 2020 Paper 2 O Levels, question number 5. It has been haunting me since an eternity!
Hello Mr Waring we love you and miss you good job on ur vids
Thank you!!!
thank u sir for the great yr together school will never be the same without u!! by andrew
You are very welcome
Thanks for this
Hi! I was having a lot of trouble with this chapter, and my computer science teacher confused me more, thank you so much for the video! I was able to understand a lot more :)
Excuse me sir , i suggest you to make videos on cambridge sql query scripts because cambridge igcse exams from 2023 will no longer get any q. From this for us. Therefore , may u do quick videos in this sector as well pls !!!!
Hi there. I no longer teach the IGCSE in Computer Science unfortunately. Best of luck
But I still don't understand why people started using 1024 bytes to be 1 kilobyte? Why 1024? Bytes has nothing with binary any more, bites are binary but bytes are not... I'm thinking maybe because how they store this number in memory... It is only one 1 and rest are zeros so thay can somehow short that but I don't know how... To store 1024 in binary we need 11 bits (first 1 and 10 zeros) and to store 1000 we need 10 bits (1111101000)... I don't get it... Am I stupid or what?

Thank you so so much!
Oh damn, my CS teacher wasn't much of a help although she's a nice teacher but thanks. This was quite helpful. My 10th grader friend recently did his CS paper and said it was easier than the mocks xD
thanks so much, im here 2 hours before my exam and this saved me

man that was amazing
Thank you soo much i had my final computer science exam and the same one you explained came up in the exam
that guy did explain simply in less than 20m what my teachers didnt in two years
thank you very much for explanation great work I have written paper 12 and it goes well these videos helped me a lot
ngl my exam is literally in a hour lol
thank you very much very helpful
thanks for this helpful video 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks this helped me alot!!
love this simple explaination watching 12 hr bfr my alevel CS exam
when do we use LIKE for criteria in query by example grid?
@15:15 why could you not use >=3 ?
is there going to be a new merch drop soon?
Thank you very much, this is exactly what I was needing! Currently revising for my May/June exams, so wish me luck!
4:10, damn u m messed up hard. 64+8+2 = 73? its 74
You're right. Well, I guess this will stay with me forever
when is the next merch drop?
Can you do one for section 2? Revision on paper 2 please?
Cambridge do not allow their material to be shown on screen and so I no longer do Paper 2 solutions as it would mean having to do it without reference to the actual pre-release task
@@jameswaring6200 oh okay…thank you so much anyway❤️❤️❤️
@@jameswaring6200 what about section 2
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you so much sir
How do I take revision classes with you?
Not possible unfortunately. However, I have just uploaded a section 1 revision video which might be of some use.
