That's not true, the Germans didn't name the Marine's Devil Dogs. The term was in a story on the wire that over 100 US newspapers printed in April 1918 six weeks before Belleau Wood actually happened. I can't find any factual quotes by the German's in regard to the US Marines being different to any other fighting force in WWI.

@@chabetto dude the strings are made of rubber. electric guitars use steel strings because the pickups are magnetic and rubber is not. maybe with a piezo pickup it would work, but it wouldn't sound anything like that. also, if the guitar were that small it'd be super high pitch, and with that amount of slack the strings literally just wouldn't vibrate.

2nd fret capo doesn't sound bad for this song. Try playing in Eb standard tuning next time I'm 99% sure that's the same tuning Beck used in the original recording.
