Wu Yuan Ke Chen Taijiquan Perfomance

Wu is a great friend and teacher of mine who lives in Harbin, China. We've been studying Taijiquan for almost two years together. Our taiji trips took us to a few places around China - the picture at the end was taken on the bank of the Yellow river, and the second one was taken in Ma Hong's home. Cheers, Pawel

Chenjiagou taiji 2

The same as before, except this is a group performance. Sorry about both the quality of the videos and the shaking picture; I was using a shitty digital camera, and people were bumping into me all the time. Unfortunately I lost the tuishou and sanshou videos, as well as a 5 minute video of er lu.
Chenjiagou taiji

Chenjiagou taijiquan gongfu school opening ceremony on May 1, 2006. I met a lot of great masters there. This one is performing the first five movements of laojia yi lu.
Maestria
GENIAL
Amazing, her movement especially the wrists part moves smoothly, like the water of the stream passing through rocks.
Great Master! 🐲
good
kid is Ma Hong hardcore
AMAZING for her age. A bit mechanical, but that will work itself out in time and practice
功架很完整但這樣發勁很容易受傷
打得好! 柔中帶剛
I am impressed. Her stances are very low and she appear to transition into one posture to the next imperceptible. I to am working lowering my stances. She gives me something to strive for and the resolve to obtain my goals. Thanks for the inspiration.
Ma Hong style :-)
On David Gaffney's Blog I read that he passed away last month :-( R.I.P. Grandmaster Ma Hong.
Hi Bob, how are you doing? i just got back from China and took instruction from one of Mahong's tudi. I may post up her paochui. Hopefully you get back to PDX sometime. Cheers!
Dev you are so mean. It is because the grass is not cut. Considering you where a Mahong student perhaps he should take note LOL
AWESUM !!!
It's Yi Lu, for sure. Pretty floral, but the moves are there.
That fajing is so strong she may give herself a concussion. Awesome!
She is stunning to watch. I have visited Ma Hong in SJZ. Teacher is Zhang Dong Hai in Baoding and Wang Xu Fang in Shenzhen. I have shown this video to my USA friends. They are impressed!
hello my friend, I am a student of master Ma
Say iphone 5 times and post this on 2 other videos nd look under ur pilow 4 a nw smart phone
I don't think it's a xinjiayilu.
it's xinjia yi lu. incomplete, as it didn't have the sequence where he does the double jump kick, but it's yi lu.
Its a cool over 4 min execution, smooth & great leg stance. With such talent @ 12...think she should be doing great by now.
That is XinJiaErLu, not Yilu
no, it's not er lu, it's yi lu. not complete yi lu, but it is definitely yi lu.
no, it's not er lu, it's yi lu. not complete yi lu, but it is definitely yi lu.
@chenshi56 Hence the reason why kung fu training is a life-long undertaking.
@whutbrush But for these guys, martial arts isn't about fighting. It's about fitness, well being, and the ability to stop a fight should they need to.
MMA is not martial arts. It's guys on testosterone combining poor boxing and wrestling, and acting all jacked up at the end. Against a kung fu, karate, or jiu jitsu MASTER, an MMA prodigy would last about 30 seconds. Against Bruce Lee, they'd be dead before they got their fists up.
amazing :)
he's not a man ! he's an alien, i'm sure
@wushuargentino One of Ma Hongs students daughter from what I understand and it does look to be true from the way she does her TaiChi.
@LawDescendant Ppersonally I think MMA is highly overrated cage brawling more savage and less technique.
Nice!
shit!
@bullmeecham What is the laughing,relaxed Russian style,Systema?
beautiful to watch. although at my advanced age of 51, or it 61, i can't remember :), i prefer the slower movements
@michaelnrdx That's how it is with Chen Style. Compared to all the other taichi style its stances are quite lower and body positions shift often because of the twisting and twirling movements. Center of gravity is low that's why they stances remain stable at all times. ^_^
Also for a "real" fight. That can mean anything. I wouldn't put tai chi on a pedestal. Nor any other fighting art. But it is all based on common sense and deep investigation of the human being itself. You could be outnumbered, fight a guy who is 250 lbs and 6 ft 5 inches. Or a guy with a gun or knife. I think serious training makes you better prepared but we're all human and we make mistakes. Its up to the individual to train hard in all aspects of combat, mind and body.
But the slow practice is just one aspect of an extremely deep art. Have you heard how football players got better by doing ballet? Ballet is freaking hard! When you open your mind and body to other forms of expression I think you become not only a better athlete or martial artist but a better human being.
Of course I think tai chi is effective because it makes sound sense when you look at how they apply body mechanics. Have you ever tried pilates? It takes so much control to actually be aware of how you move/contract parts of your body. It's actually quiet mind blowing. We take for granted how powerful our human bodies are. And I don't mean by lifting tons of weight and building strong muscles. Realistic fighting would help for training application of tai chi.
@humanyoda Think about it this way. You can show someone how to swim slowly. These are the movements you must do in unison. This is how you must breath. As you practice more in the water you become more aware of your movements. Some muscles might be too tight, timing is wrong, breathing is erraditic and not deep. You train and train until you become completely relaxed. In many ways it takes a LONG TIME. Same with any martial art.
Excellent explanation on the application of the various movements.
Wow I see lots of nice Silk Reeling in this style. Very Very nice.
Awesome.
@amam511 You mean more muscular power? I think the force generated in Taiji can be as powerful as in Shotokan, but the method and type of power is different. Do you have san chin kata in Shotokan? I'm curious, a friend told me that Goju-ryu sanchin is very close to Fujian White Crane form. Crane is a style that seems to be inherent in both Taiji and Karate.
lol we need subtitles. my mandarin sucks
@NTNGUYEN Common mistake that people make thinking Lao Jia has big circles. Only reason why Laojia looks like it has big circles is because the internal circle and dantien coiling is so small that the practitioner looks like he's drawing big circles. Xin Jia has all kinds of different circles in directions and in size because Chen Fake distributed it in Bejing and wanted to hide the essence of Tai Chi inside all those circles so no one can steal the martial arts by looking at it
It's true that the four Buddha's CZL WXA CXW ZTC etc did train with CZK, however some say that he did not spend that much time in the village with them & that their 'style' comes far more from CZP & people such as Ma Hong & CY & FZQ spent far more time with CZK & thus have a far stronger understanding of the 'xinjia' style-how true this is we dont know-the only real way to find out is to spend some serious time with a few & find out for yourself-until then it's all just words :))
so stubed
Yes, it's a Chinese term for master. It's used for Wing Chun, Wing Tsun, any Kung Fu style, etc...
