Compilation of the Hoover Convertible (Deluxe) 652. This was introduced in the US in 1957 as the Convertible 65, and was released two years later in 1959 as the Deluxe in the UK and the Convertible in Australia. The example I have was made at the Meadowbank factory in NSW, Australia.

Hoover Lark (Junior) 1346A: One of my many faves
I like this style of the Hoover junior from the 70s
Looks dynamite! I'm thinking it's the equivalent model to the US 1120 in Pumpkin Orange & Seal Greige Tones from the mid-'60s?
Ah, the rose-colored 652! I think this was the first color version of that model, right - something like 1958 to 1962? Far out!
Nice vintage cleaner - from the mid- to late- '60s, I think. I always thought that the 6525s were blue & white, but now I'm wondering if that changed with the model 6526C? Thanks for posting and Happy Hoovering!
Very cool! It appears to be the same or at least similar to the US Model 1120 & the CA Model 1122 in Pumpkin & Seal Greige tones. Was there not also a UK Model 1124 in the same color scheme?
Nice video, i want to break free 😂
And all of these machines will out clean almost anything made today
That’s true because you only need a low amount of Wattage to clean carpets not quadruple Wattage like now
I collect mostly Eureka/Sanitaire machines. Most have 3.5 Amp motors, but they out clean Mt WT and Smart vac
Well it is way before the company did manufactured newer queues of junior models with the hard bag cases
Really nice but love to see a concept one by Hoover sometime hoply
If I can get my hands on one definitely demo it but they are rare here in Oz
The first vacuum cleaner by Hoover sounded like a lawn mower than vacuum cleaner like yours is which was invented by accident
I’ve fixed that already. Just needed grease around the bearings of the brush roll. Noticed it sounded a lot different and smoother
And you think you need a Dyson.
Quite a nice performer and attractive in the sun gold color. I imagine that Hoover Australia's timeline was similar to that of Hoover USA's in that the U4008 was produced from 1973-75. That was the time period that our Custom Convertible U4007 (full trim) was manufactured-in goldtone, with 420w/625w motor, instant rug adjustment & 25 foot cord. Our model U5007 Dial-A-Matic, akin to your Dynamatic, and our version of your Lark, the Lightweight model 1348, were in production around the same time. Thanks for posting.
I can see why the Hoover Junior 1346A is one of your faves; what a dandy little cleaner! The Hoover UK Junior Deluxe model 1346 was introduced with extra features in 1967 and sold alongside the standard model 1334. Mechanically it was identical - including the 2-position height lever. The 1334 was discontinued in 1969 when the Hoover Dirt Searcher model 1354 debuted. There were several different versions of the 1346 before it was succeeded in 1970 by the 1346A, which had a four-position "Height-Right" wheel and different color schemes - pistachio green and white from 1970-72; and navy blue and white from 1972-75. Various special editions were built in the late 1970s based on the 1346A, but the model U1012, which replaced it in 1975 with its easier-to-empty dustbag, was the deluxe model. The US version was called "Lightweight Cleaner" and had model changes at the same time as the UK; but different model IDs and color combo's. The model 1348 is our version of the 1346A. Thanks for posting.
This is so cool!
I have a complete 1958 ZA62 in green
Groovy colored and sweet performance '74 cleaners!
With a touch of your toe and a move of your wrist you put on a good show!
Hoover Convertible sounds good. Tiny possible extra sound, probably brush roll bearings. But not bad at all.
Nice demo. In the US we had the similar-looking model U4007 in Goldtone with taupe trim and groovy floral outer vinyl bag. Produced from 1973-75, it was labeled "Custom", as it had a headlight and longer cord than the "Deluxe" model U4005 in Stellar Blue & Oyster White, that sold concurrently.
What a great vacuum cleaner
This is a great vacuum cleaner
Love these Hoover vacuum cleaners
Like my grandmothers good vacuum cleaner
Like my good grandmothers birthday
Wish we had more of these in the US.
It was under the Viking name in the US. Different name but basically the same design with a few differences.
So cool. Thanks for sharing.
These are so cute, I have the same one but in grey 😊
Thanks for sharing. Mine is in storage forgot how cool It looks
You are literally just vacuuming carpet....smh....You will probably get 1m views....
Good video, Nate! The very last 912As, as well as the U7008 and C1312, actually used a double-insulated-constructed motor unit (instead of the all-metal motor) but still used the three-wire cord. On our side of the Atlantic, we had these in the form of the 913 (1961-1969), the 918 (1969-1978) and the U7037 (1978-1983).
Thank you, until now I've never seen a train take off before 😑
These are a classic I have the 720 725 735 and the lux 745 last of the stile
Hi there, I used to be a vacuum cleaner serviceman, These electrolux vacuums are the best ones back in the day. I still have two of these orange models and a mint condition red ZA 65 which i use with paper dust bag to protect the motor
What a top vacuum
nice machine
Ωραιομετρο.
Beautiful Machine!
brilliant mate love those machines always had them you know exactly where you are with them great power, quiet reliable and repairable...ive got a 1965 Challenge in that same body, grey vinyl covering and maroon end caps with more modern plastic handle that breaks easy!
Nice action.
Efficient vacuum Nath bro!
It was released as the "Junior" in Europe and other places but in Australia this was released as the "Lark".
This is a Hoover Junior, not a Hoover Lark.
Nice arms 😍
works great if you grease the bearings in the brush roll it will sound even quieter. just get a small flat head screw driver and scrape out all the old grease in the bearings in the brush roll and repack with new grease it will make a world of difference and spin the agitator more smoothly. great find
