Hello, I am Planetrainguy! Welcome to my channel. I'm a South Australian ferroequinologist as well as a planespotter filming widely around Adelaide. I love SteamRanger Heritage Railway and other heritage groups restoring SA’s railway history. With all the support, my channel has gained over 360 subscribers! Australian Steam Whistle Compilation - 500 Subscriber Special!
This is a very special video that you'll be watching today! As a thankyou for 500 people subscribing to my channel over the years, I have collected all of the steam whistles that I have recorded throughout that time and piled it into a mega compilation! It mainly consists of the Nathan 6 chime featured on Rx224 and Rx207 (and a bit of 621...!) but also the L727 that 621 has and the VR 5 chime from the time I went to Melbourne! I've sorted them into categories and provided a bit off unnecessary info about each clip but I hope you enjoy.

Wonderful to see the 747 back in Adelaide! Silly thing is when Adelaide Airport posted about the silkway 747 landing (they posted after it was well on its way out of Adelaide) people got mad for them not telling them in advance and there were a bunch of hate comments saying stuff like (You made my son cry!) Anyway when they posted about the Air China 747 (again after it was well on its way out of Adelaide) they muted the comments so no one could spam hate comments 👍

@@TTTS107 well they own AN’s which’ll see retirement, they refuse to repaint their G’s which’ll probably mean they have a short life expectancy and they have the 81 and 82’s which are starting to age now.

I would love to go on The Overland one day, although it’s quite expensive. I would also like AN to be revived, because the Ghan and Indian Pacific are now unusable as a way to get from Adelaide to Sydney, Darwin, Alice Springs or Perth due to the RIDICULOUS prices.
