The opening words in the title of this story ‘A Careless Man Burns A Stray Dog’, is an understatement to say the least. What happened to Angel was not a careless act. It was the deliberate and wicked actions of a cruel brute. In many respects this is a great story to witness Angel's amazing journey to recovery and the great healing and loving bond which was established between Eleanor and Angel. Nevertheless, I felt sad that a key player in this story was left out of most of this story. This was a smart and caring stray cat named Scar who befriended and took Angel under his wings and taught him how to survive in the harsh and cruel world of the hostile alleyways and took immediate action, despite his fears of the world beyond the alley, to seek urgent medical help for Angel in order to save his life. Once he made sure that Angel received urgent medical help, it is almost as if he vanished from the face of the earth. There was no indication of what happened to Scar, who is many respects also needed help. There was no acknowledgement of his immense contribution to saving Angel’s life. This was thoughtless to say the least.

This was a such a heart-warming story. Bravo Tom Tom. You are amazing. on behalf of your new family on the farm, thank you. Rest well dear Tom Tom. You have left your hugh paw prints on the sands of time.

Beautiful story. But I miss the awaeeness of taking a new kitten (Bobo) to the vet, preventative shows for all at the proper time, and the management of prohibitive vet cosas. Also no mention is made of timely sterilization. Ethan is 4 but reads on his own his letter from Bobo. If Snowball and Rusty are of different sexes, one will soon be pregnant. These issues must be mentioned when adopting. Sterilization to control population can be done at 10 weeks. Also why was Bobo's immune system compromised? This should have been attended to in an early vet visit. Also tuna is not recommended for cats except as a rara trata. They need taurine for their eyesight, which is included in commercial catfood. Writers of these sentime ntal animal stories need to be more informed. What about references to cleaning ears, flea control and grooming ( including self grooming)? There are so many more inaccuracies in this story. Cats are not generally considered good pets for 4- year- olds because of young children's rou😊 movements and possible injurias from retaliatory scratches. No mention is made of how mom"s allergies were handled. Did she take pills or was it just a lie? All these issues can and should be addressed with just a mention. Story misleads on too many levels. Still counting.

I watched these audio video. And I was getting really annoyed with the male speaker referring to this hurt in pain cat with a broken hind leg. Kept calling the beautiful cat a creature too many times to count. And the man finally can call him Oliver instead of identifying him as cats are arrogant cats. The speaker still referring to Oliver as a cat. He still calls cats as creatures. My hope that the speaker never is allowed to be a cat or kitten owner. This is my fear. At my age I know it wouldn't be right to adopt a kitten or a young cat. I have started looking for an older cat, one less likely to outlive me. But this story has me crying, I haven't been able to finish it.

Thanks a million times Mrs Peterson for coming to the plight of this caring and brave mummy cat and her kittens. I had to hold my breath during the times when mama risked her life to get much needed food for her babies. There are always malicious people who cannot mind their own business and delight in making others miserable, equally there are always the Miss Jenkins of this world, totally devoid of compassion and humanity. Look at the way she quickly retreated after the catastrophe she caused which resulted in the loss of beautiful Patches, without even saying I am sorry. So sad about Patches. I am comforted by the fact that Mrs Peterson and her feline family were able to go through the process of grief together and emerge stronger. Rest in peace Patches. Live long and prosper Mrs Peterson and family.
