Wth yall playing party cale
Wtf is this....I rather slap boxing in the hood

Still points sparring no punches to the head fucking worthless
OSU!!!👊

They're obviously instructed not to hit each other in the face. Although sparing like that is safer.. it also conditions the fighters not protect their heads. They are wide open.
PS - they are also leaving them selves open to groin shots.
Прекрасная техника. Спасибо за видео.
That was a disgrace to the arts. No form ! The black belt should have had a better guard and a little more aggressiveness.
Is it just me or is he serious lacking power in those kicks
@@gregoryb2999 sorry you feel that way. Feel free to enter any of our bi annual events to do better than the rest of our competitors or drop in our dojo to spar as all are welcome anytime! All info is in the video description on dojo location and how to sign up for events! Also there are always the IFK US Championships every year in Atlantic City, NJ, feel free to enter as this one is scheduled for February 1st and more info on the US IFK website.
Love this event can't wait for the next

Brutal. Well done.
Che differenza c'è fra yoko geri e sokuto geri?
Trash
Both of them are getting ktfo in any street encounter. Gym katas only work if you are actually going all out and prepared to bleed.
There needs to be take downs applied that's why enshin ashihara shidokan and kudo are all superior because the sabaki and take downs make it a superior art I say this with respect osu
guy likes takn punches
Lol
Sooooooooooo boring Yall playing patty cake?

1/2 ass sparring 🤦🏻♂️. We would have gotten our butts kicked by our instructor.
If you read the video description you'd see this was a challenge event of fighting back to back rounds, this was already round 29 of the morning and the smaller guys 7th consecutive round. As the bigger guy obviously has the advantage he was going easier on him and the smaller guy was newer to Kyokushin. The full event was 3 hours long and each one of these snippets go in consecutive order. Feel free to drop by anytime to spar or enter our next event in August
I trained Kyokushin for quite a while, but after realizing that not training punches to the head for so long, it made me a weak fighter, created very very bad habits. This was very difficult to unlearn.
Then train muay thai or boxing, Kyokushin is its own thing. If you come straight from Kyokushin and try to enter a muay thai fight of course you are likely to not do so well. Kyokushin is Kyokushin, Muay Thai is Muay Thai, Boxing is Boxing, train in each respectively to get what you want. Now each have certain positive and negative draw backs where cross training can make you a better fighter as a whole, just as UFC fighter Jiri Prochazka has recently started cross training in Kyokushin for the body conditioning and mental fortitude side of it. It comes down to what do you want to get out of training. I go into more detail in an article I wrote for Black Belt Magazine titled "Anko Itosu: You Must Decide if Karate is For Your Health or to Aid in Your Duty" in their Vol 61 No. 2 issue available here: www.zinio.com/black-belt-magazine/spring-2023-i614934 I also go into greater detail about the importance of identifying what you want out of training and to know what you are signing up for before you start training in my book 'Intent: The Path of the Warrior' available here: www.amazon.com/Intent-Warrior-Justin-Hagen-M-Ed/dp/B08Z5LSXVW/ref
I hope you guys also train with head hits.
I really dislike this type of training you're training youself not to protect the most vital part of your body... the head.

I love the grind but that’s not making u good
Are they not allowed to hit in the head?
That is correct, in this event it was an endurance challenge to go back to back rounds full contact no head contact. In tournament rules kicks to the head are allowed. This was an endurance challenge not a tournament this time around, Osu!
@@KyokushinPhilly Ah that makes sense, thank you for explaining!
@@Michael-iw3ek No problem! Thank you for checking out the footage and your interest in our martial arts, Osu!

Are you allowed to go for the head in this? It seems like you are deliberately avoiding that but idk I don’t do much martial arts.
