Poor guy. I'm not sure what was going on there.

So many large slippery rocks! I'm not a big person at 5'9" and 145lbs, so the tall bike and slippery rocks made for an interesting time. I'm glad I did it, but I probably wouldn't try that specific crossing again.

Thanks! It was my first OXCR, but I really enjoyed the track. The dust was kind of crazy at times, but I'll take that over mud! Just checked out your channel and your new bike looks awesome. Love the look of the 2024's.

It was my first OXCR, but I enjoyed the course layout. The dust was a little rough on the first few laps, but it got better as the riders got spaced out.

This was in Sharpsburg, OH. This WEXCR series travels all over SE Ohio area and even dips into WV on one of the races. I've only done two so far, but it's a ton of fun.

I watched your video a few hours ago! That's a tough race for a first timer, but I'm glad you made it through. That gas line tripped me up 3 of the 4 laps. Just couldn't get a clean line on it.

This series as a whole is a little more gnarly compared to something like a GP. I've done a fair amount of racing over the last 7-8 years, but these races are definitely up there (at least for me) on the difficulty scale. This is my 2nd WEXCR and I didn't do well the first time because I didn't know what to expect and didn't pace myself. Now that you know what you're getting into, you should give it another try and see how it goes.

@shawn_g81 One of the guys I came down with got 1st in the first-timers and said it was the hardest yet. I definitely need to pace myself next time. I dead lifted my bike from a down slope 10 times because I kept hitting the hills in second and fell over.

We loosely based our route off of the "imat" and "imar" gpx files that can be found here: iadv.info/storefront/product-category/gpx-files/ The majority of what we did is big bike friendly (with a combination of gravel, paved, and unmaintained roads). The river crossing (Greenbrier river) was further south. The river and rougher roads are completely optional, we just felt like a challenge. Dolly Sods is groomed gravel and is passable by practically anything. Most of the road looks like what you see at 1:59. The scenery is beautiful and my footage doesn't do it justice!

For sure! It's still surprisingly competitive for a 33 year old bike.

Hi. I have a Legacy, and having metal to metal grinding whenever braking to a stop but not in reversed. Ruled out brake system and front wheel bearings a shad replaced all of them but sound still there. If might have been the center diff is gone, or perhaps some bearings at the front diffs. Have you managed to solve your problem even after replacing the center diffs??

@@MLOO123 well I think it was the winter tyre noise after all , I had gotten so delusional with it. I traded the car in a newer model. But the sound that came from the diff was very bad and could be easily heard from the outside.

I personally love the sound. It's obviously louder than stock, but it's bearable. You can kind of get an idea of the sound on one of my other videos where the center diff was going bad. Most of the noise is from the diff, but you can hear the exhaust note. th-cam.com/video/ymS03VE3gJY/w-d-xo.html

@@shawn_g81 Thank you so def need the resonator or way to loud inside ...so if i understand correctly not to loud in cabin but nice and loud outside with the resonator correct ....

@@patrickd3677 It helps to quiet down the hum/droning sound while you're cruising. The main reason I wanted it was to remove the raspy sound I was getting at mid to high rpm range. It keeps the signature Subaru rumble on the outside without being obnoxious. Sounds great to me.

I personally like superview just for the ultra wide view you get and it makes it look like you're going faster on a bike. I would shoot some other footage, but winter has set in here in SE Ohio, so my bike is put away till it gets nicer outside. Good luck with your camera!

@@shawn_g81 What settings and bit rate? **You're some rider, since a young age I assume. U have either NO fear or big balls =P

@@BOOSTEDLASER It was on 2.7k/60fps/Superview setting. I don't know about the bit rate, whatever the factory setting is.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I didn't really experience any vibrations in the gear shifter or anywhere else. It was mainly the sound that you could hear. The sound mainly came in after 30mph or so and only got louder as I went faster.
