Wow. To say its timeless according to my 70 years life span might be to much - but its great to feel connected in 2024 to its musical position it had in the 60s. Blackness, racism, chauvinism and sexism - well articulated. sensationell musical expression in the jazz spirit. I am pleased a lot as human. Good thing thou. Thanks you Max and Abbey.

sounds so clear. almost like we were in the studio. that haunting choir sounds like they're in my lap! the sax solo is a hot summer night. Abbey's timing is off beat but perfect. one of my favorites all time. BIG sound like from an old MGM musical. ❤❤❤

I didn’t know this recording existed until now. I got hooked … spellbound. I searched and found that it was recorded live at Yomiuri Hall, Tokyo, in 1975. I was fooled by the guitar. I thought it was Gabor Szabo but it was Yoshiaki Masuo, famous for playing with Rollins for years. I just want to listen to the other 3 tracks on the LP. The credits are as follows.
