Gitte expressed her discomfort with self-doubt and her realization that she has been avoiding it. She acknowledged that she has been seeking space for this discomfort and is now ready to face it. Gitte also shared her shift in wanting to be alone, which she believes is a result of her previous craving for filling up the emptiness. Vince emphasized the importance of accepting and giving space to one's discomfort without judgment, as it alone can lead to change in an appropriate direction. Gitte agreed with Vince's perspective and expressed her intention to continue giving space to her discomfort.
Navigating Social Connections and Authenticity
In the meeting, Gitte and Stelios discussed their experiences with socializing and feeling alone. Gitte expressed her confusion about how to be with people due to her upbringing, while Stelios shared his recent preference for solitude and his struggle to maintain friendships. Vince offered insights on the complexities of human connections and the pressure people face when they change. He also suggested strategies for dealing with these situations, such as being open about one's weirdness and using silence as a tool. Marius added his own experiences, mentioning his aversion to stories and his need to sever attachments to maintain authenticity. The group agreed that it's essential to be true to oneself and not feel pressured to conform to others' expectations.
Shifting Perspectives and Inner Realizations
Marius shared a shift in his perspective, where he no longer feels a separation between himself and others. He now sees experiences as a part of himself, rather than relating to someone outside. Vince agreed, emphasizing that the only actual thing is one's current experience. Gitte shared her experience of realizing that her husband's behavior was a manifestation of her own inner world. Scott and Maja also shared their experiences, with Maja expressing a sense of disappointment but also a sense of acceptance and understanding. The group discussed the importance of perspective and the ability to see through illusions.
Navigating Spiritual Stagnation and Control
Maja expressed her concerns about feeling stalled in her spiritual journey and her need for guidance. Vince reassured her that this was a natural part of the process and that it was a time for integration and learning. He also pointed out that Maja's tendency to control everything was a habitual trait that needed to be unlearned. Stelios shared his own experience of observing thoughts and how they can be just another appearance. The group also discussed the importance of observing thoughts without attachment and recognizing that they are just thoughts.
Adjusting to Thoughts and Awareness
In the meeting, Vince discussed the constant adjustment of the body to its surroundings, including thoughts. Maja shared her realization of having two types of thoughts, one to be observed and another to be believed. Stelios emphasized the importance of not taking thoughts seriously and focusing on the present moment. Maja expressed her hope to continue this awareness. The group also discussed the concept of awareness, with Maja questioning whether it can exist without a thought. Vince suggested keeping the discussion at an experiential level, avoiding philosophical or theoretical discussions.
Sensations and Thoughts: Interconnected Experience
Vince describes the process of experiencing a sensation and the thought that arises in response to it. He uses the example of feeling a touch on his neck and the thought "a mosquito landed on my neck" arising immediately after. Vince explains that the thought comes after consulting his history and memories to interpret the sensation. He argues that sensations and thoughts are intertwined, with thoughts giving meaning to sensations. Marius adds that sensations themselves may ultimately be thoughts, as one cannot know a sensation without the thought recognizing it. The group discusses whether thoughts are necessary for awareness and considers the example of someone losing their ability to form thoughts after an awakening experience.
Unconditional Love and Personal Growth
Scott shared his recent experiences with his dog, highlighting the unconditional love and connection they share. He compared this to his relationship with his father, noting the contrast between the unconditional love from his dog and the lack of it from his father. Scott also discussed his recent realization that he no longer desires to accelerate his personal growth, but instead is content with the pace it's happening at. Marius added to the discussion, emphasizing the purity of the relationship between Scott and his dog, and how it reflects the essence of Scott's being. Stelios asked Marius about the role of character in this context, to which Marius responded affirmatively.

Vince, what I get out of these: a sense of connection with like minded authentic people. A more realistic approach and definition of so called awakening. Willingness on my part and others to look at the shadow traumas and various ways we overreact etc. Confirmation that awakening can happen in this lifetime and to anyone. The bells and whistles hype is just that...not what actually happens to everyone. And much more! To much to remember at the moment but people really talking, listening and interested in this more than anything else in life. I am another oddball who finds small talk and superficiality difficult. There appears to be a rare breed of us who are just in another category lol. As different as our individual lives may be ❤🙏hope this helps with your query about what people get. You don't do shadow work by resting in the present moment. Wanting to hear Denis tell the story that goes with the story of anger. Bianka wasn't saying Denis is inauthentic. She was pointing to flattened expression. Would be nice to see Denis fill in the the gestalt of that anger. It's not surprising there is a feeling of being bottled up. It needs/wants to be given expression.
