Came out nice! Are you going to add the Honda logos back on?
I'm not sure yet if I'm going to add the Honda logos back on, or put a new logo on the bike just for kicks. What are your thoughts on adding the Honda logo vs a new logo?
Why is the fronk a hi viz color? Are you planning to wrap the bike?
Yep, I painted the frunk as a test. I ended up not liking it, because the red was showing through still. I redid it with three base layers of white and then yellow, which turned out much better
@@JoseVargas814 nice! I think it’s going to look good.
What settings do you have your mic 2 on? and where is it positioned pleses, I wish i could get mine this clear , no matter what i do i get heavy wind noise , Ive even built a fome rubber sleave with dead cat around it and dont come close to this, -12DB , noise cancallation on and still hisses like crazy , Mic inside of helmet,
I haven’t adjusted the DJI mic 2 settings at all. Unfortunately when using with the ace pro the audio constantly clips. I started to record audio right onto the dji mic 2 directly and merge the audio and video afterwards. I keep the mic in the frunk. That way it stays out of the elements and doesn’t pick up any wind noise. Putting it in the frunk seems to do a good job with picking up the engine sound.
Do you ever find yourself having to manually shift gears?
On occasion, I'll drop to 5th gear from 6th gear when going up a hill.
How is that windshield extension working out for you?
I honestly don't notice it too much. When I put the touring windshield on, I it put the extension at the highest setting. The windshield came with the extension already installed. There is a difference going from the stock windshield to this touring windshield, but I don't think the extension itself does much of anything.
@@JoseVargas814 : hmmm. People that install them after the fact say it makes a big difference. Maybe try dropping it down, go for a ride doing at least 50 or 60, then prop it up and find out. Do you notice any vibration at higher speeds?
😂
That crackling noise doesn't help.
The crackling noise had something to do with the ace pro’s firmware. When using an older firmware the allows the dji mic to connect, there’s a bunch of crackling regardless of reducing the external mic setting to the lowest db setting. Using ace pro’s firmware 1.2 and below has this issue with the mic. Using 1.35 and above the dji mic struggles to connect, but once connected the audio doesn’t record. After these series of videos I tested not pairing the dji mic with the ace pro and the audio is good from the dji mic. So going forward I’ll have to take the video and audio into a video editor to remove the ace pro audio and add in the dji audio, so I get better sound with the wind noise. The video set to up load on Sunday will have good audio going forward.
Unwatchable
Yeah that static popping is bad. It doesn’t matter what settings I try on the ace pro with the dji mic. The sound is always like that. My next video I don’t pair the dji mic with the ace pro. I just record the audio separately and that works/sounds much better.
wtf is this sound?? do you even watch what you upload?
Yeah it’s just showing how bad the dji mic ii pair is with the ace pro. There’s something wrong with either the bluetooth protocol or ace pro firmware.
Hi, which GPS/ Gopro holder are you using? I have the 2022 NC but with manual.

@@JoseVargas814 Thank you.
Nice video! How was the transition from the xmax to the NC750X like? From CVT to DCT?
Some things that I've noticed is the center of gravity is higher on the NC. So turning it isn't quite as easy as the XMAX. I feel that on turns I attack the corners more with the XMAX where I'm more cautious leaning the NC. The shifting of the NC is pronounced, where the XMAX's CVT made everything feel smooth with acceleration and deceleration. For inner-city riding, the XMAX is definitely more comfortable and seems smaller even though they are close to the same length and width. For longer trips, more than 2+ hours, the NC has a better riding position. I find that I can ride much longer without taking a break other than gas and not stiffen up on the NC. Some of that also has to do with the ability to stand and ride. Trying to stand on the XMAX always felt awkward and difficult based on the seat and handlebar positions. I'm planning on selling my XMAX, but was waiting until I felt more comfortable on the NC. I'm at the point where I don't see the need to keep the XMAX around now. With transitioning to the DCT you shouldn't have any issues with it. Just remember to put the DCT into neutral before turning off the bike. Also, put the "ebrake" on when you are parking on an incline.
@@JoseVargas814 Thanks for answering my question in so much detail. I have had my XMAX for almost a year now and I still love it. I know that if I ever want to upgrade it, I will choose the NC. I had the chance to sit on one at a dealership and I noticed right away how much more narrow the seat was than the XMAX. I use my XMAX for my work commute at least once a week, but I plan to do more long distance riding at my own pace. I’m just curious about it how it rides and the DCT part of it. I’ve heard that it can shift in a corner which can be annoying for some riders. Although I learned how to ride on a motorcycle, I’ve always been more of a scooter rider because I don’t like shifting. Thanks again for the details! Ride safe.
@@JoseVargas814Why do you want to put the NC in neutral before turning it off?
@@vinterskog sometimes when you don’t put it in neutral the dct has issues starting up. It’s required to be in neutral to start.
@@JoseVargas814 I still don't see why, since the N/D control is electronic, not mechanical. Never put mine from "drive" to "neutral" in the two years I have owned it. To me, neutral position with the DCT system is just a security measure.
Great video! I just bought this bike and may have some questions as I watch more of your videos!
Very nice videos, steady and calm. I'm watching in the hope that I'll be able to figure out the multicolor LED light, which seemed to work in a way that kind of made sense on the first day I got the bike, going through the entire palette including green but now it doesn't seem to want to change colors anymore, it just stays solid red in Sport mode, blue in Standard and blinks white when I'm in Manual and it wants me to shift up. Otherwise still scratching my head. Thank you for the videos again, keep them coming. Greetings from Romania 🇷🇴
I typically keep my bike in either Standard or Rain mode. When in Standard mode, the light stays blue unless it's shifting. If it's shifting, you should see the light blink then be solid. That's what I've noticed at least.
Tbh it kinda depends on the settings in the menu as to exactly what the light does or doesn't do 😏
@@kevindarkstar Can you elaborate on that?
@@kevindarkstar 🤦
Very good bike, but it has one problem, when you travel and you have bag or small tent or luggage,on your rear seat ,then try to fill gasoline, and you have to remove them .i hope they solve it. Thank you for the video.
I agree. I do have a topcase and panniers that help me avoid putting anything on the seat. I haven't needed to put anything onto the backseat.
what mount do you use as the adapter used to connect the carplay unit to the parrot bar?
I have a Garmin Zumo XT and this is the mount that I have the GPS using. www.amazon.com/Yi-Concept-Motorcycle-Aluminum-Africa/dp/B0C6NGNF6H
You may have well of just put up a black screen. I understand you have go shopping but the video was pointless. Think outside the box. Wishing you well.

It's a little hard to tell but the sand washed away part of the path and I was trying to prep for going into that section. I just ended up going to slow and cut hard right which made me lose my balance.

I haven't been able to figure out the noise settings on the GoPro to be able to cut the wind out more.

@@JoseVargas814 thank you Jose!
great video.. thats whats cool about the Honda 750x, you can use it on the trail as well. do you see yourself buying a Africa twin in the future, or just sticking with the 750x?
I don’t plan on getting the Africa Twin. I like the seat height of the NC. I have looked at the Africa Twin, but I just don’t like the seat height on it.
Headlight does not impress me. Is it really as dim as the video shows?
No, it’s actually brighter than the GoPro reflects. I never adjust the settings of the camera for night vs daytime riding. I need to figure out how to make presets on it so I can change the settings when riding in the day versus the night.
Your bike 360 v..
What do you mean by “360 v”?
Your bike price sho me
Nice video brother. I'm from India your bike is osm
Thank you
Nice to get clear of the corporate wastelands.....
It was nice, but a bit chilly. The heated handgrips along with my winter riding gloves helped to keep me warm.
Still VERY muffled sound, can’t hear the bike. The third NC750 video in a row now ;-( Is the sound fixed in future videos?
I'm not sure why the GoPro is muffling the sound. It's interesting because the first 6 1/2 minutes seem okay. It does seem like the GoPro is doing some adjustments when I'm riding. I wonder if the Wind Auto setting is causing the muffled sound. When I come to a stop you can hear the motorcycle better. I might have to play with that setting to have it be clear. I haven't changed any settings on the GoPro, so its interesting that it just started happening in the last couple of videos.
@@JoseVargas814 Yeah the sound is sometimes clear for a few seconds when you stop. A mystery to solve.
Nice bike but those clip on windshields just look stupid af on any bike sry 🤭
This windshield is an aftermarket touring windshield that is taller than the Honda touring windshield once the "clip on" is up. It actually came like that.
@@JoseVargas814 I know, ordered the puig touring windshield for my NC750X but no matter if it works or not Im never gonna put on any additional clipper 🤪
VERY muffled sound in this video.
Yes, it does. I'm not sure why that is. When I stopped at Waynesboro I stopped and charged up the camera at McDonald's. I hadn't done anything different than what I normally do when I put the camera back in its mount.
This is the bike I’ve been wanting, I’ve been on the hunt for almost two years. I don’t know if it’s possible to get that bike in Southern California.
I would keep checking on CycleTrader. The closest one I see to you right now is in Washington State or Texas.
Something not quite right with the driver in that white car in front of you @:1:16:06?! Maybe playing with the phone?
More than likely. I see that way more often than I'd like to.
Must be nice to be able to stand up sometimes, which i guess isn’t so easy on the Xmax ;-)
Being able to stand and ride was one of the selling points for me on the bike. It’s awkward to try to stand even for a bump on the Xmax. I did fit a handlebar riser on the NC750 and it’s great to be able to stand and ride to get a different position. It helps with being able to reduce the amount of stops I take on a longer trip.
Don’t you have Dark mode on that display? Might be easier on the eyes when riding at night.
I haven’t seen a dark mode, but I also haven’t checked. I know I can reduce the brightness.
I looked at the user manual and there's an option to put the display in High or Low brightness levels. Each of those levels can be tweaked between 1-5. I'll have to play around with that setting to see how I like it.
@@JoseVargas814 So at least you have options if the screen is too bright when riding at night. Great 👍
Thanks for the video! Headlight seems a little dim, my Shadow lights up the roadway very nicely.
It might just be the camera settings that don’t properly reflect how the headlights actually light up the road. I can say that the headlights on this are significantly better than my Xmax.
Why Yamaha, why not the Honda forza 350, or the ADV 350? If i may ask, just curious.
The Xmax has a bit more storage and leg room compared to the forza 350. I also like the styling of the Xmax more than the Forza. That being said, I now have the Honda NC750X DCT and have been riding that more than the Xmax.
@@JoseVargas814 Yeah the Xmax looks a bit better. Too bad it doesn’t have the adjustable (on the move) windscreen that Forza has.
I honestly never had any issues with the Xmax screen. My biggest dislike was the lack of positions to put my feet on longer rides and the brightness of the headlights.
These 2-lane videos (first half) are the most fun to watch, more to see and more stuff happening ;-)
Yeah I agree. I like taking the two lane roads when I travel longer distances, but I have to balance it with 4 lane roads in order to get to my next destination within a day. If I had more travel time I would probably take the some more mountain roads on my trips.
thanks jose!! that's amazing video !!i decide buy a dct modle in california !
Glad I could be of help with your decision. Are you going to go with the '23 model that has a matte finish or an older model without a matte finish? The only reason I ask, is my previous bike had a matte finish. I like the look of it, but the maintenance of the paint is a little harder to maintain than a regular paint job. I hope you enjoy the bike once you get it.
Hi, enjoyed your video. No need for commentary as the ride says it all. No need to explain what you are doing as we can see what you are doing. Keep 'em coming Jose and safe riding brother.
Thank you for the comment. I'm not much of a talker to begin with and I think it's nice to not have any opinions in the video. Safe riding to you as well.
Very relaxing to watch these videos before sleep. 👍
Yeah, I've fallen asleep listening to other people's rides. It's like ASMR for motorcyclists.
man, watching your videos on the Honda NC750X DCT, but lately, watching more videos on the Xmax 300. starting to like the Xmax more than the 750 DCT.
I like both. For longer trips I noticed that I’m more comfortable on the NC. If I never took a trip beyond an hour away I would’ve just stayed with the Xmax. There were a couple hills/mountains that the Xmax would struggle a bit to get up to speed on. Beyond that it’s a solid bike and the maintenance is a breeze.
A beautiful bike and a thumb up. I don't quite like small windscreen on top of a windscreen. Just get one big windscreen. I also wouldn't get this bike in DCT (as good as it is) I'd get manual with quick shifter. A LOT lighter. Your left mirror is excessively angled wide to cover blind spot and it makes sense. I can only suggest tiny blind spot mirrors that you attach with goPro sticker that cost less than a cup of coffee. Just a few suggestions from one biker to another.
Thank you for the suggestion on the blind spot mirrors. I do like my left mirror to be more to the left. The touring screen had the wind deflector mounted on top already from the factory. I have a Honda OEM touring screen as well, but I like the height of the aftermarket screen more. I like having the DCT, since I came to this bike from a scooter. I get the same twist and go aspect, but with the versatility of downshifting or going into a manual mode. I was looking at the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 with a quickshifter until I joined a Facebook group and saw the issue of the bike shutting off while riding. Also the quickshifters on those burnt out faster for some reason. The 750X DCT was my second choice and I’m very happy with it.
Hey what mirrors did you mount on the fairing ?
The mirrors and mount that I found are on Amazon. You might be able to find the same set on Ali express. QIDIAN Motorcycle Rear View Mirrors Front Stand GPS Bracket (www.amazon.com/dp/B08QF69H35)
Hi Jose, do you have a link for the bar that carries your sat nav please? I had one but the bar was too thin and it shook the sat nav, yours looks a thicker bar.
I honestly don’t know. When I got the bike it was already mounted and I’m not able to find any brand name on it. Sorry I can’t help with that.
Nice trip.
Yes it was. Thank you for watching!!
The call
This call is definitely one of the better calls to use.
Learn how to overtake...
I like to relax when I ride. Not in too much of a rush when I’m riding. Thank you for the suggestion though.
watching your videos since you road off from the dealer. 25 years ago was my first experience ever riding a bike. I was on a ninja 1000. within 3mins, i was on the freeway following my buddy. boy was i an idiot. total riding experience since then, 1hr. my question is, would this bike be almost perfect to learn and keep for a long time? Thanks.
I started off on a 300cc Xmax scooter before getting this bike. I rode that for roughly 2 years and i have almost all of my rides on that uploaded as well. I think this would be a great starter and long term bike. You can put the bike in rain mode to start off with to reduce some of the torque and power. Then as you become more comfortable with it, put it into standard mode. Coming from a scooter I was used to my rear brake being the left lever. With the DCT the rear brake is the right foot which aligns more with other motorcycles. Since there’s no clutch slow speed maneuvers rely on rear brake and throttle control. Stop and go traffic took a little bit to get used to. For highway travels/touring this bike feels great. I did put handlebar risers on the bike to bring the bars slightly closer to me and to make standing up while riding slightly better. As long as you are looking for a steady bike that can do city, highway and a little off-roading it’s a great bike and would suit you well. If you’re looking for a thrill seeking bike this wouldn’t be the bike for you.
@@JoseVargas814 thanks for the info. I was in the air between a transalp or the NC750X DCT. after researching, it seems the nc750x if best suited for me. thanks..
You’re welcome. I watched a lot of different videos on the NC as well. Watching the Daily Rider from Revzilla he covered the NC. I don’t believe he’s tested the Transalp, but I could be wrong.
Those mirrors look good. What are those?
I got them off of Amazon. It's hit and miss how much you have to bend te mounting plate to make it fit just right where the windshield will fit on it and the holes align. The screws that come with it don't work well. I ended up getting some other screws from the hardware store that were longer. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QF69H35
Hey man, love the travels. What mode do you prefer to ride in and do you ride in manual mode sometime?
Glad you’re enjoying the videos. I’m riding in Standard mode now. When I first got the bike I was riding in Rain mode until I got more comfortable with it. I’ve had it in Sport mode. It shifts the smoothest in Sport and the roughest in rain which I found interesting. I haven’t ridden in manual mode yet, but when going up steep hills I have found that I need to tell it to downshift a gear or the NC will feel like it’s about to stall before the computer realizes it needs to downshift and then jerks with power.
