This a quick video of how simle it is to apply surface monkey mild steel blackener to a bolt that can be dipped.
i found this wasnt durable at all
Caswell recommends using their sealer after using the blackener. Have you tried the product without the sealer? How durable is the blackener if I were to skip the sealer?
So the top row in the last photo were straight from the degreaser into the caswell stainless steel blackener?
You can do this as it leaves no residue, although to often it can make the blackener foam so you can't pour it back in the bottle for a different application.
