[360 VR] The Brussels Sprout Rag - Minneapolis Trombone Choir
The Brussels Sprout Rag by Glen Newton. As I worked on my as-yet-unnamed composition for the trombone choir, my wife, Jill told me that she'd made one of my favorite dishes for dinner: roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar and bacon bits. The shortened the name of this dish became the title of the work.
Composed and conducted by Glen Newton.

[360 VR] Marble - Minneapolis Trombone Choir
มุมมอง 334 หลายเดือนก่อน
You are standing in a huge marble hall when a four-note motif bursts forth, followed by an echo. You turn, trying to find the source of the sounds, as the motif expands into a 32-bar theme that appears in several guises as the notes cascade around the hall. Low trombones introduce a waltz that fills the hall until the dramatic return of the first theme in surround sound. Marble was Glen Newton'...

On a surface level, Gargoyles are these quirky-looking stone creatures that serve no architectural purpose, other than to sometimes function as water spouts to protect the buildings they reside on from damage. When I was writing Gargoyles, however, I imagined these creatures coming to life after twilight, gliding on the wind toward adventure, only to return to their post and transform back into...

This should have ambisonic audio as well (with headphones on, the audio rotates with the video). But it seems TH-cam just broke that feature because it has recently stopped working for me.

Fun tidbit a conductor from my childhood told me: The reason the time signature rolls from 6:4 to 5:4 is because Mussorgsky wrote this song from a first person perspective of browsing an art exhibit and he walks with a waddle or limp.
