I Visited China's Most Controversial Region, Where Chinese Uighur Muslims Live in the Desert.
Southern Xinjiang, is home to the Uyghur Muslim community. Once a region marked by turmoil and tragic events, it has undergone significant changes in recent years. I will travel from Kargilik County to Karakax County, a name derived from the Karakax River, which translates to "black jade" in the Uyghur language. I am going to traverse this desolate yet fascinating landscape.

Good documentary, smooth flowing video, and perfect English. You have done a great job. Consider doing one for Malaysia?
Thank you! Definitely will do if such opportunity arises in future.
我不知道你为什么要用这种滤镜,中国网友称其为BBC阴间滤镜,你有什么目的
您好,请您把BBC的调色数据版展示出来,这样我可以参考每一项,避免和他们用一样的数据,尽量来让您感到舒适。
Look like the road good for cycling, maybe i can go bikepacking there someday😊
Naan from XJ is the best!
The grey filter in the opening credits is BBC only. You pirated it.
Thank you for bringing us around showing different places in this region.
Glad you enjoyed it.

You are a great content creator, brother. It gives me immense happiness to see you hunting the most beautiful cultures of China. I am a native Tajik Wakhi from Hunza, living near the Tashkurgan border. My ancestors came from Yarkand and settled in Upper Hunza in the 16th Century. I am proud to call myself Chinese Tajik dear brother.
Love all your hard to get to far flung places.❤
Thank you!
👍 well presented...keep going ❤️ 🙏
Thank you!
Dada thanks for your food vlogs…absolutely love your passion and gentle approach and willingness to go try each different regional foods, interacting with locals!! I’m really confused though, because according to BBC programmes on Xinjiang…it shows the peoples as being and nation being suppressed, ethnic cleansing or Chinese inflicting genocide erasing their culture. This was even confirmed by the US senators…..anyway I’m really confused 😮…sorry, I couldn’t help myself! Really love your work!!! Eating is my favourite thing!!!

他们在撒谎
But Western media says the Uyghurs are in concentration camps undergoing a genocide similar to the one Palestinians are presently undergoing. This is very confusing as friends tell me the Gaza folk don't even have Nans let alone meat and they are in an open concentration camp being herded by ancestors of the Dachau camps😢😢
Is he eating all those food in one day?
It has been almost 20 years since hurricane Katrina and there are still large parts of New Orleans in ruin.
Exceptional documentation. Thanks for your hard work.😊
Thank you!!!❤
This is where the GULAG schools are. To make Chines people of them. Is it not. USA mainstream media says so. Then it must be the truth

Thank you for another excellent cinematic piece. With recent sad event in Tibet, this video becomes even more relevant.
This video appears to be another CCP propaganda effort. The earthquakes mentioned-both in this video and the one last week-are likely the result of CCP's relentless mining of Tibetan mountains, which has destabilized the earth's crust. While it’s true that Tibet faced poverty in the 1950s, such challenges were not unique to Tibet; many countries at the time dealt with similar struggles under ruling elites. However, let’s not forget that China has plundered far more from Tibet. The genocide, the demolition of monasteries, and the forced relocation of nomads into towns without viable income sources are stark reminders of the ongoing exploitation and destruction of Tibetan culture and livelihoods.
Dada, continue your journey. With such high quality content your followers will grow I swear.❤
@@lfc3970 Roger that!
A cinematic piece ❤
@@lfc3970 I agree!
I thought Tibetans hate China?
You thought wrong
Western media would have us believe that.
Come to Tibet and experience what is looks like, the scenery is gifted by nature and the new modern life has been gifted by the Government. You will have all modern technologies and transportation that offer residence a very high quality living condition (though living on 4000m is not easy for outsiders like me). However, thanks to the government for ensuring higher income and developing living condition more day be day, even in a few years Tibet will be covered by High Speed Rail as well that will facilitate trade opportunities for Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan. You compare the condition of Tibetan cities with their past and realise what real development actually is. A recent earthquake happened in a small rural middle of Nowhere town in Tibet, the govt mobilised 9000+ Rescuers with top quality equipment and reliefs. They rescued people and built shelter within a day whichnis incredibly tough at that altitude. Take, Sikkim that India took over in 1973. The condition is still the same the roads are terrible often closed due to heavy rain/snow and landslides. The only development is some branded stores and bunch of nasty hotels. However I liked the Sikkimese as they are not dirty and uncivilized like other Indian regions.
western media and you together are what uter out of your mouth
I thought western media people would help rescue the people in Tibet from the earthquake since you guys care about Tibet so much by yelling “Free Tibet” 😂😂😂😂
I just found your channel & immediately hook to your video. Excellent documentary.
I always curious about that stones piles, now I know it actually formed mantra script structure seen from above, thanks for your info
谢谢你😊

Thank you!!!
It’s a lie ! All a lie !!!!! According to the west tibetans are living in poor conditions and their culture is being eradicated by the EVIL CCP !!!!!!!!!!! Yeah right this must be the best evil regime in the world cuz the tibetan here seems to live a good life 😂
"This is one of the best video vlogs I've ever seen! I loved the information and the way it was presented. Keep up the fantastic work! Sending love from India!"👍
Glad you enjoyed it. I will keep it up. Thank you for sharing your thoughts here!❤
when did you take this vdo?
Thank you for sharing about the transformation in Yushu after the 2010 earthquake. As part of the home office team of a disaster relief agency at that time I could only gasp with concern and empathy for the survivors and the rescue workers. That Yushu has been rebuilt on resilience and hope.
@@oceemal Please accept my sincerest respect. Thank you!!!
I echo what Dada said above. Respect to you and your team sir.
There is a very strange phenomenon in China. Any place that experiences a major earthquake will be the best developed area in the region. Yushu was destroyed by nature. The Chinese government compensated him.
