Real Paint Talks EP 23: Striving For Perfection
มุมมอง 58ปีที่แล้ว
Hey all, In this episode I talk about how striving for perfection can be good but also very bad. None of us are perfect, and most of the time we are working with hand crafted materials that are not perfect and with that i find a lot of painters are getting in their own way. And that can make you loose money... Yes painters have this stigma attached to them like we can work miracles or are magic...

Daniel is a painter at heart. Really inspired by his passion & love for his work. Keep Growing!
Couldn’t hear anything bro
How did you cover the red from coming through?
@@jerryanderson3581 Juat tuned it in with spraying some stain on
I’m tryin the TH-cam thing as well . I didn’t want to write you under my channel name and look like I’m pushing my channel through yours . But I like the ocd thing . I tend to keep working and working on the job I guess with the fear of turning it over as done and not being perfect . Guess I might have to just be content with the first finish
what is the thickness of the hair 10 or 12mm?
Great video, TY for posting.
🔫🔫🔫
What gun are you using and are you using oil based??
My gun isn't screwing off ots like it's welded
This same model?? Dm me on Instagram if Yah like I can walk Yah through it
Nice 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Where is all that overspray going
Everywhere
Not really it’s a huge house ,area to work in it’s not that big of a deal as long as you have open space. It’s obviously cheap acrylic varnish which looks like cheap made in China finish after done. I like the old school look on wood and I even like the finish of the brush. When it’s used properly and with the correct brush. I’ve sprayed plenty of wood it’s not the same in my opinion.

Product?
What clear coat are you using?
You leave those holidays on purpose?
Yep. Cat eye/ skip trowel effect They wanted some depth
@@toplinepaintingspraycoatin2732 nice, great job
Thanks dude appreciate it!

Nice work guys!
I put mine in the top first get it tight then put back together
Yah that’s works well also!
the average person isnt gonna pay the extra so if the owner is cheap just give them a cheaper job but still maintain great quality, i just dont go above and beyond for every client.
No absolutely It’s about variables The job at hand But I guess a good point is So if they pay u less Or are cheaper So you still clean up after yourself ? Ofcourse So the numbers do play a big role But this was situational to a post and questions I had got on Instagram
Howdy Danny one of my favorite podcasts thank you 👍👍 saludos from Garcia Brothers Painting contractors.
Thank you always for taking time to listen ❤
Bless you and thank you for this. Regards from Ireland.
Absolutely my pleasure. ❤
That was a shit load of paint theres paint everywhere .. will be a lip on the wall
Great topic Pal. Good eye opener. Thanks
Thanks so much Glad it could help in anyway. ❤
How do i get the fuzz out of a brand new one? It leaves fuzz behind on walls.
Dap it with some tape bro with the adhesive side
Get well soon
Stain is for amateurs, dye is for professionals. Dye brings the grain forward, otherwise you might as well just use whitewood and stain.
👏🏻
This is blasphemy.
What spray gun is that?
Thank you for doing that Pal. Bless you.
Your welcome I really hoped it helped in some way. Cheers
I visited your TH-cam channel... That's impressive... Can I talk with you...?
These podcasts really resonate with me…. Appreciate what your doing.🙏🏼
The Customer is usually wrong in choosing the cheaper price to complain about what shoulda been right!
Price is wrong bitch! Lol 😝
The wood floor refinisher on a recent project moved the refrigerator with an air sled. Surprisingly, most floor finishers refuse to move appliances. I move refrigerators all the time for painting without damage by laying down an 1/8 inch thick sheet of styrene.
"Engaging and informative content! Your analysis adds depth to videos. Looking forward to more insights. Keep up the great work!" Can I talk with you..?
Great podcast, Danny saludos from Garcia Bros Painting.
Thank you! Saludos from all!!
Nice! What marrakech you used?
It’s from pure and original
Thank you, Danny. Excellent advice. 👍👍saludos
Your are very welcome my friend.
I'm already sold on the Purdy 18 inch...I just wanted to see your face....because you have no paint splatters on it which I like (for myself) Good video, brother..
Great podcast, keep up the good work, Danny. 👍👍
Great guest
Damned if I can get that roller to behave like that. Mine was completely flat within one 2x2 foot area.
They kinda have a sweet pressure spot on them. It’s that last roll, if Yah can get them back rolling fluffy .. ooof such money
@@toplinepaintingspraycoatin2732 I've tried painting with 5 or 6 different rollers and same amount of brushes and I end up with the same effect.. Patchy, uneven walls and wonky cut lines. I am truly hopeless at it ☹️ love watching the pros do it though
how much is this sprayer?
Sweet 🔥
Thanks buddy!!
Отличная работа!
