Africa Matters Initiative
South Africa
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ม.ค. 2018
Africa has the youngest population in the world with over 226 million youth between 15-24 years old (Africa Renewal, 2013). This youth boom has been described as a “ticking time bomb” and an economic burden due to high levels of youth unemployment, a lack of education and skills, and poor social infrastructure in many African countries. According to the 2012 African Economic Outlook report, this youth boom will double by 2045.
Africa Matters believes that Africa’s youthful population is an opportunity for the development and continued growth of Africa. We exist because we want to upskill and empower the large African youth population to change the dark narrative of the continent by developing sustainable solutions to problems within their communities. Our why is that we want to see all African youth succeed.

Africa Youth Day 2024
For #AfricaYouthDay, we proudly celebrate the resilience and potential of Africa’s youth as they lead the way in shaping the future of our continent. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to #Nike Europe for their generous donation in 2023, strengthening our commitment to empowering young Africans with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to drive meaningful change. Let’s continue to uplift and invest in our youth as they build a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow. :sparkles:

You were great! Thank you for taking part.
could you please share the name of the speaker in the bio?
HI, the speaker name is in the bio and on the video. Her name is Candice Chirwa.
I travel the world, via Comment Spaces. When I discovered AMI, I chose this video to watch because of the title you chose. Just last week I said to my friend, "This Lockdown is taking people on a "Forced Inner Journey." You are a deep thinker, an important quality to have, to inspire others as a facilitator of youth programs and conversations. I just wanted to share one thought with you. There is no need to feel "guilty" about the negative feelings. They are important, too. They can be perceived as the contrast to what you truly desire. When you are sure about what you don't want, those thoughts lead you to remembering what would make you so much happier. We simply have to believe that it's better for the whole world when we find our our purpose in life, the thing that keeps us in a state of happiness, even when it feels like the whole world is falling apart. While I was listening to your video, this young man came to mind -- he is an artist, and also a deep thinker: TH-cam: 10 Signs That You Have Found Your Purpose. -- (Attract Passion channel)
great vid I also did a vid on Africa in a joking kinda of way so check it out I would love your feedback th-cam.com/video/PFVJlwZKFc4/w-d-xo.html
