Is this train simulator classic? I can not go faster than 512km/h even with 4 locomotives but i have not tried in on the tgv route yet.

Has anyone tried this sort of thing with the Advanced Passenger Train? I'd love to know what its real top speed would be with just the front and rear driving trailers and the two driving cars in the middle, on a reasonably straight bit of track. My guess would be over 250mph/400kph. All the test videos of that I've seen on TS have only got up to the 155mph limit or just over.

Tsutarja495 - I would assume that the operating speeds do not exceed 400kph so they have no need for it to go any higher.
Its not just with the tgv... actually all trains in ts 2016 and newer don‘t show anything when you exceed 450 kmph in average. So you have to focus on the distance left till you reach the next stop

Operating speeds in commercial service do not exceed 320 km/h (theoretically). However, new lines are tested at much higher speeds and, before the 2007 record, a regular train ran at 380 km/h just to check the tracks.
