Molly Stevens' Salmon with Red wine, bacon and sauteed mushrooms
Making Salmon, with a red wine sauce, topped with bacon and sauteed mushrooms!
Also got a new mic for better audio!
And yes I know the pasta was looking bland. It was a total afterthought and I was exhausted and didn't care. I was also hoping there would be more sauce to kinda coat them with but alas

Anthony Bourdain's Blanquette De Veau from the Les Halles cookbook

Join me in making "Blanquette de veau". This creamy, white stew, from Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles cookbook, is extremely delicious and easy to make too! Some notes, becauise I always have notes: I was unable to find veal to use, so I used chuck roast. I would like to revisit this with veal if I can ever find it. I would also like to try making the sauce more white. There are a couple things t...

I completely blew past that, and as such the quality kind of suffers a bit on the video itself. I also am not a fan of doing voiceovers, and wi...
FFXIV Valigarmanda Extreme 2nd clear
มุมมอง 975 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is my second clear of the Valigarmanda. My first was very much a carry as I didn't fully understand what was going on and didn't do great. I started joining practice runs and can now clear it consistently. I'm pretty excited about this, I have always wanted to do the most current extremes and savages in this game, and I finally pushed myself to join with strangers and just enjoy the journey.

Another Les Halles recipe. Learned some things about this one and will apply those lessons and redeem this recipe. Also first voiceover! Learned a lot of lessons about that as well, as it took a lot of takes and editing the volume was STILL a damn challenge. Small improvements over time to get to where we want to go. That's what matters.
Anthony Bourdain's Onion Soup

This was delicious. I need to work on presentation, as I am not happy with the look at the end, nor the burnt bread. The "bouquet garni" as Anthony calls it is: parsley, thyme, bay leaf tied together and removed at the end. Why didn't you brown the meat first?
The recipe states to place the meat in the large pot, then cover with water, herbs, and veggies, then bring to a boil - no browning. My thinking is that this is to keep the meat from taking on too much color, which could potentially color the sauce. The sauce got colored anyways so..... If I weren't following the recipe, I probably would've browned it

Have a wonderful day.
Hey you too
I have no idea how this showed up in my feed but it's refreshing to see a real person cooking without edits/lighting and a little realistic recipe improvisation.
Hey thanks!
Looks bangin, don't let the haters get between you and the joy of cooking
@@Salafrazz thank you. I definitely enjoy cooking, and will continue to do so. Sharing the videos is new, but something I also want to continue doing. There's definitely risk in putting a name as large as Anthony Bourdain's in a video. It draws attention and critics from everywhere. But at the end of the day, it's the taste that matters and this was definitely tasty! Though I might cut back on the soy sauce a little bit next time, or use a lighter one 😂
You got haters
It's to be expected. Just means I'm doing something right 😂
*It's ironic that you cook like that, yet it was Anthony Bourdain that committed suicide*
Thank you for the comment. Do you have any constructive feedback?
Hmm maybe take a few lessons in anything food preparation oriented please, and learn to gather the proper ingredients. But you get a b- for effort.
The purpose of the video was to go through the entire process and learn, not have everything prepped and throw it in a pan.
Anthony's rolling over in his grave.
I don't think he is. He talked a lot about how he actually enjoyed home cooking and food that wasn't perfect. I think he'd just be happy that I'm out here cooking.
Dude it says fresh ginger use fresh ginger, you already fukd it up it's not gonna be anywhere close to what Mr Bourdain recipe, to be clear your making your own recipe.
Ok
I swear, the mountain of fire tank buster has to be one of my favorite attacks in the expac. GNB main.
I want to thank everyone for the feedback! It's really appreciated. I've been cooking for a long time now, but without sharing it with anyone, I never saw growth. I started this as a journey to grow myself, and you all are helping with that I appreciate you.
just some feedback from a chef pan needs to be way hotter to sear the steaks, if you cant get the pan much hotter, cook the steaks completely in the pan rather than the oven. And that sauce was way to thin. Try reducing a little more, the goal should be about 1/4 of the starting liquid should remain, so if you had 300~ml of liquid (a cup is 250ml) you would be left with about 75ml of sauce. If you use a stock without gelatin you can use a table spoon of corn flour with water to make a slurry then add that to the sauce and cook it out, do this bit by bit as it will thicken a lot. you could also add some powdered gelatin to your stock instead however i personally don't use that method.
I appreciate the feedback and advice! I thought the sauce was too thin, from looking at pictures of the recipe online 😂
Youll be much better off searing the steaks in your cast iron. There was very little 'crust' on the steaks mostly due to be crowded in the pan. Cook one at a time and and when you flip go from one side of the pan to the other so the heat increases on the empty side. for anything under 1" reverse sear or oven roasting after is unnecessary with a good sear and rest. For herbs you can grab the tip and slide your pinched fingers down the stalk to remove all the leaves quickly rather than picking individually. Good start
I was pretty disappointed in the sear. Normally, I do them in sous vide then blast in a pan for a good sear, so doing it this way from the recipe definitely was different 😂 Thanks for the input and feedback!
What’s the song?
Great question. I remember at the time I was in to this world music person, and the track was over an hour long. I will look and see if I can find it tonight when I get home
@@aimz_playz thx

@@aimz_playz awesome thanks for looking!
this is fucking genius XD idk why i never thought of this. its alittle tedious but it works.
It's very tedious, but consistent. And at the time (haven't played in a few years so don't know if the markets have changed), way cheaper than VNI ratting and way safer
But also, not easy to run multiple accounts with, so it doesn't scale well
@@aimz_playz i took a 5 year break hoping the game would get better.. I only recently & temporarily came back.. To see that nope, the game got way worse.. the prices for everything are 2-3x higher, and capital ships will soon be 10b and supers will be 70-100b.. titans going to be 250-500b ea cuz CCP is breaking their own game again and making everything horrible. Null ratting is dead. HS mining is dead. Moon mining is hyper dead cuz they removed all the ores from moons except the shitty moon ones. strangely enough ice mining is stupidly lucrative like 1-2m isk per min, per miner, but GL ever finding the ice up. and if u do see it up on the activity finder, then Gl getting to it before its mined out by roaming mining bot fleets of chinese. to give u an idea of how bad things are. T1 battleship hulls are 400-500m easy. crappy battlecruiser hulls are 80-120m. T2 destroyers and frigates are 100m ea with only some frigates being 70m ea. Faction ships are HYPER expensive.. Murader battleships are nearly 3b ea.. i wasnt kidding when i said everything is 2-3x higher in cost. Increased cost out the ass, combined with no way to make isk has made people dock up and refuse to fight cuz noone can afford to replace anything. the game is extremely unhealthy and not fun.
Do you cloak up some they break target lock? And is this still working?
So the sig radius on the nemesis is so low that the sleeper battleships cant lock on to you before you recloak. When you recloak and wait a tick to decloak, they then have to start the lock cycle over. If uncloak too soon, or cloak too late, they will lock you and basically kill you. The lock speeds of the sleepers is why this isn't a particularly effective strategy against the second wave. It's been a few years since I've done this strategy, but I do think I started to experiment with just bombing the second wave a bunch.
I'm 100 pages into the guitar book. Keep it up! Best way to advance in skill is always challenge yourself learning material beyond your current level. I've been learning colors for a decade, and I finally think I'm getting it!! What you can do to practice really hard sections is use a program like audacity to slow down the track and get it note for note perfect at a slower more comfortable speed, then increase the speed as your chops improve. Keep it up!
This is good
Match made in heaven broheimouth
Huh
It still works, but I've since switched to a hound, as it has a smaller sig radius
@@aimz_playz what was ur fitting for that ship :) very interesting to watch great job
@@ziggy811 Its in the video description (or at least it should, shame on me if it isn't), but Ive since changed to a hound due to it having a smaller sig radius (the npc's lock slower, so you have more of a window to miss hitting your cloak) [Hound, blerg] Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II F-90 Compact Sensor Booster F-90 Compact Sensor Booster Target Painter II Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher Prototype 'Arbalest' Torpedo Launcher Covert Ops Cloaking Device II Core Probe Launcher I Small Targeting System Subcontroller II Small Targeting Systems Stabilizer II Sisters Core Scanner Probe x8 Scan Resolution Script x2 Caldari Navy Nova Torpedo x2000
