im 58 yrs old and im on the return leg of biking...ive had them all... now contemplating the cb300r.... i just dont ride fast anymore ...or need to go motorway at 80mp hfor hours ive done that..insanely mind numbing.... enjoy every stage of your bike life...never worry about impressing anyone..let the idiots do that.. and ride safe

You cannot ride a geared bike if you pass on an automatic!!

Do I need to know how to ride a bike or they teach you?I never ride a bike

if you want to ride geared bike you have to take cbt on a geared bike if you passed on a automatic moped then bought a geared bike then your licence is invalid

Hey bro. Ive decided to bypass the 125cc and go for a full licence instead (the 125's on the CBT were a bit too weak for by body height and size). This could be a potential first bike for me (Im 6'4 and 120kg). The riding school has the Yamaha MT-07, which is comfortable for the two hour lessons but not sure how it would be on longer rides...not to mention the wind hitting me on dual carriageways . What made you decide against this bike?

Which fuel is best for cb125r ? E5 or E10 ?

I'm not great in any exam/test environment and with others watching, that's worse. I only passed my cbt because it was another school and nobody was watching anything, except my tutor. Absolutely loved that day and got my cbt easy peasy. Other school said I was so bad, they dropped me off their course. Sigh.

I'm taking my CBT in the new year, and here's a little nugget of advice. Try to find a school that has a 'second day insurance'. For e.g. my local school does lessons for £175, but for £40 you get a free second attempt if you fail, otherwise it's another £175. Sounds like too much money but some people do fail more than once, it's worth having! Especially if you're prone to nerves on your first attempt, like I will be lol.

What about the concept of being "IN" the world. In your car, you're in your box and isolated from everything. On a bike, you're exposed, in the world, with all the sights and smells and sounds.

I also have a cbr 125 and is wondering how to fill the bike up because the little bar inside prevents me from filling it easily., and the fuel keeps shutting off. Any suggestions?

Great place for a trial flight, there's something sort of magical about the area up that valley. Tidy looking drone, they've obviously come a long way since I lost my first one! Small enough to carry with you and a screen to see what you're filming. Looking forward to seeing more of our local area from above. 👍🏍😁😁Ride safe and happy.

What an amazing piece of kit, thanks for showing us, I might treat myself to one for Christmas. I’ll be most interested to see how the bike screen performs, if it helps the wind blast, I’ll put one on my MT. Isn’t it weird how the go pro fails to show the gradient of Winnats ? That was an absolutely amazing road you found there but boy was it busy on the way back. Going around Ireland would be an epic journey and I think you'd have to set aside a week to do it , never done it so only guessing. Last Ireland tour video I saw was Midlife Motorcycle Diaries. Married couple both touring on BMW and Triumph bikes. Ride safe and Happy.

This was another great video, I enjoy all the videos you make. You produce them well and the commentary is always interesting. Brilliant filming of the scenery, and you've captured the essence of the Lake District on the road going over to Scafell better than many other videos of the Lakes I've watched. I hope more people start finding your channel because a lot of people would really enjoy what you do. Thank you.

I will agree totally with your findings except on the saving money part. I was an avid rider that commuted almost daily weather permitting when I lived in the USA in the Raleigh, North Carolina Triangle region. I am a sensible rider who did not drive like a maniac, never did any burnouts with tires and did all my own maintenance at the recommended interval on the 2001 Yamaha r6 I owned. Insurance was absolutely cheaper for liability coverage, fuel was cheaper but what I saved in fuel cost were eaten up with the cost of replacing the tires and drive chain and sprockets twice in the 60 + thousand miles I owned the bike plus the normal routine oil service cost for full synthetic oil, I replaced the tires front and rear at least 4 sets front and rear. I never bought cheap quality tires or parts for the bike. I would say in all honesty what I saved in fuel cost was spent in maintenance cost. No matter I really enjoyed riding the bike and it was therapeutic so it was still worth it to me to have the bike but the cost saving argument at least in my case did not really happen. I am really happy that I rode for more than 20 years commuting and I would recommend getting a bike to anyone. In the 20 years I commute I probably put more than 160 thousand miles on the 5 bikes I owned.
