Literally tho I’ve never understood why anyone would annoy someone trying to fish fishermen are the nicest people ever they are happy to be out fishing say hi and ask if they have had any luck and then you made a new friend!!!

Use to go out around the docks at 530 in the morning. Fog coming off the mirrored water and land owners sleeping. Throw a float 3 inch Rappala few inches off the dock and retrieve. Watching that v in the water chasing the lure then the splash of the water breaking and fish on. What a wonderful memory

I live on the Water, I have a dock, and I completely understand why some owners freak out at fisherman. I pulled numerous hooks off MY boat and dock put there by careless anglers. I will chat with any owner I see on their docks and not fish them to show a little respect. With that said, I couldn't count the number of drinks and food I gotten from being respectful of other hard earned property.

Unlike what social media will have you believe most dock owners don’t mind you fishing around there dock! I have been fishing a ton my whole life all over the south and have never had a “Karen” moment!

Whenever I see someone fishing around my dock I drop everything I"m doing, run down there and immediately ask them if they've caught anything and what they're biting on :)

This is a guy that worked for his money and that house.

Now that’s nice to see.. only thing better is no dick owner coming out period.. I say that because no one on a lake, pond, etc should say anything unless already outside and just wanting to say howdy or nice job. General “decent people “ convo’s…. Seen too many videos and have had a few jerks try to run me off fishing their dock or seawall…. It’s public and it’s not hurting anything but maybe a few largemouths mouth area…. Right?

During the summer my family and i hang out at our friend's place a lot. The inlet is access for the homes but the water is still public. It tends to be a bass habitat and the fishing is excellent. Surprised me when I saw a few kyaks padding in and seen several of their neighbors come out to their docks. I thought "Oh boy here we go." Most had dock furniture and they all sat out and watched. When the kyakers landed a big bass, they all clapped and got some picture of the guys with their catches. My buddy explained they have "Catch of Fame" board. One in the community center and another at the inlet entrance. The inlet one says "private property, fishers welcomed please stay off land unless emergency. If you would like to have your catch featured please visit our community center offices with your pictures. Please catch and release so others can enjoy our inlet habitat." Residents are made aware during purchase that the inlet is publicly accessible to fish. Great seeing owners who know water access laws.

Couldn't tell if you were doing catch and release. But with all the bs property owners usually dish out, he was the one that we all would like to have a interaction with.

Unless you have ever owned a house with a dock on it, you will never know the frustrations of having your privacy constantly invaded. I know it’s legal to fish in these waters, but I never knew how ignorant these fishermen really are. These people have no respect for people’s privacy.

I know the guy filming is a little awkward.. like any social skills? Someone is trying to talk? This newer generation socially is not so good anymore. Even the guy on the dock was like “I’m being cool, what’s wrong with this guy ? Like treating me like I’m a weirdo” lol.. awkward

"I've caughten?" Dock owner was very chill! Good to see a video with friendly interaction between people often portrayed as either trespassers or land owners who think that they own the public waters that their land happens to touch. 👍
